I've been coming here for 3 years now, mainly because it's cheap and convenient. I always order the same thing, which is: beef and black bean and a special fried rice.Until covid I hadn't had a complaint with their black bean, which had been consistently nice. The rice however is rather bland and I always end up adding my own soy sauce for flavour.Since covid I have noticed the quality of the food slowly decline. Not only has the quality of their food declined but the service is terrible. Usually being served by two young boys who don't seem to know what they're doing. Last night will be the last time they get my $.After being told it would be a long wait (40 mins), I didn't end up getting my meal till an hour and 10 mins later. During which time myself and others who had been waiting just as long as myself, stood watching others come place their orders and leave with their meals.When I finally did get my meal and arrived home to enjoy, you can only imagine my anger when I realised it wasn't even cooked properly. An hour and 10 mins for half cooked food???I called to complain and was offered the half arsed excuse of it being busy, by one of the young boys that served me.Needless to say, I'll never eat here again!-10/10

Food was very good and the service ok. The plastic tablecloths and cramped space were offset by the food, really good value for money. Good for very casual dining, not for a special occasion. We will go here again because of the food, never had a bad meal here.

Canton Village Chinese Restaurant
This Chinese restaurant has been around for many many years. I had not eaten there for so many years that I wasn’t sure if it would still be good. I was so happy that the food there is still excellent that I decided to write a review. The spring rolls have that lovely curried flavour. The pepper honey chicken was delicious with grated veges (unlike the last where there were big chunks) The beef cashews, and salt and pepper calamari were just delicious! I was so impressed that this will be my regular take away local from now on!

Phone service was fast, friendly and efficient. The server unstood my order clearly and was able to answer questions I had.The wait was a little bit long but this was to be expected. It was peak weekend dinner time during this covid pandemic. This was communicated early on so I had a choice to continue with my order or not.The food was great! Loved the great flavours and variety available on the menu. The pricing was by far the best available in my area. Very well priced. Serving sizes were considerably large and well portioned.Overall, the experience was great. Would definitely order again and look forward to trying more variety.

Took over an hour to actually get our food after we ordered it with only max 5 orders seen within that time, don’t recommend unless you enjoy waiting for an hour+

This place is perfect for a quick budget meal! Great for students who want to grab something quick and inexpensive! Portion sizes are good! The special friend rice and black pepper chicken were tasty! The owners are really nice! You get free crackers and a drink after a certain amount of spending! Worth the money!

Canton Village Chinese Restaurant
First time ordering from Canton Village and it did not disappoint. I was a lot happier with their Special Fried Rice and the Combination Chow Mein with soft noodles compared to the other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in my local area. That wok hay is what I look for and Canton Village delivered. We will definitely be ordering again and this restaurant might just become our regular post lockdown as our other favourite Chinese restaurant is en route from work which isn’t always convenient.
