Wray Owen Funerals

Wray Owen chapel was the right size for our family. Plenty of seating, display screens and our music and slideshow worked perfectly. Live Streaming option helped out with family that couldn't make it to the service. Overall, the organising of the funeral and the service was amazing. Thank You to the whole team at Wray Owen for helping my family through such a sad time for us all.

With my Father dying suddenly, my mother and I had to organise a funeral which is something neither of us had done before. From the moment we entered the offices of Wray Owen, we were very comfortable with our choice. There was a calm, peacefulness in office environment and the way we were greeted. During that first meeting with Chris, he was compassionate and professional. His approach was considerate as he explained things, giving examples and options when appropriate, and was extremely patient and caring. We were made to feel very comfortable to ask questions and make our own suggestions.After that meeting, Chris kept us up to date with each step of the process, each time being compassionate and checking on our well being. On the day of the funeral, the staff were helpful, explained changes needed due to the wet weather and were there for any help they could provide.We are extremely grateful for the supportive, professional and compassionate service provided to us from Wray Owen and would certainly recommend them to others needing a professional, caring funeral director.

It is a shame that vile incorrect information can be put on a site for spite. Wray Owen supported our privacy & respected the wishes of the family who were closest to the person who had passed, not a vendictive person who had not spoken to the family for over 2 and half years, this was her own wishes. Her fathers wishes were she not be included or told of his illness as he didn't want to see her. All that was asked of this company was carried out with dignity and respect. I would recommend them to anyone in an instant.

Very caring and lovely helpful staff, we mostly dealt with Allison, such a lovely girl. Coming from Sydney to organise our Auntys recent funeral we thought was going to be hard and stressful, quite the opposite !! I have sadly had to attend many funerals lately. On several occasions myself and other attendees have commented on the compassion and professionalism of the Wray Owen staff we have observed. I noticed how genuine the staff were when interacting with grieving family.Keep up the good work looking after these families at such a hard time for them.

My father's passing in 2015 was extremely difficult for us, and then we lost my beautiful Mum very suddenly earlier this year. We were all crippled with broken hearts and needed someone who could relieve us of the daunting tasks to be done.Fiona and her team were exceptional in every way, on both occasions.She stepped in and took control of all the arrangements - flowers, celebrant, paperwork, you name it. This resulted in beautiful memorial services that allowed us all to grieve and say our last goodbyes without being clouded by distracting details.Fiona also had an abundant supply of comforting hugs and tissues ready at any moment.But the thing that I loved most about Fiona's service was that she took such care of my parents, from the time they left the hospital, to the time they arrived at Wray Owen. Fiona updated us all the way, and showed such care to dress and make over Mum exactly the way she would have wanted.So much love and compassion for us, the family, when we needed it most. Thank you Fiona, and thank you to your special team at Wray Owen.It's clear there is a very good culture at this family owned business.

This company made organising a PrePaid Funeral for my relative really easy. Christopher took great time to explain the different products and go through all the options available to her. Nothing was a problem for him and we felt very confident that we made the right decision contacting this company and we’re very appreciative of his empathetic nature and professionalism.

I would sincerely like to thank Rhonwyn and the team at Wray Owen for all their support, help and great empathy shown to me and my family in the preparation of my wife’s funeral.
