This place is pretty average. The photos boasted a warm, welcoming dining and overnight experience. However, we were disappointed with the feel of things, not really much like the photos advertised - bathrooms are not very clean and in need of a renovation. Don’t expect a cheap pub meal either.In terms of the motel rooms, they were in quite the sorry state. The carpet is not clean at all and we could not open any windows. We did not have a fan in the bathroom either. The decor is extremely dated and for the price paid, the rooms definitely require a renovation/facelift to match it for sure. Cobwebs and spiders in corners, under the bench top and near the doorways.

A well kept secret. This place is magical from the art deco style to the international and local staff and management. It’s my home away from home and has everything I need washing machines beautiful tastefully clean rooms. Amazing wildlife. Pet friendly. But most importantly it’s not over priced and the food is world class. Local wines worth a crack as well. Bottle shop a huge bonus. Sports bar very cool. Dining room magnificent with open fireplace. Music all so really appropriate and stylish.10-10 a must stay. Only 2 hrs from Melbourne.

We were apprehensive after some of the reviews but found the pub to be everything you'd expect of a country pub. Food is simple and the portion sizes are generous. Steaks were tasty and there's a great wine list.

It’s been a little while since I’ve been to Fishy pub and I have fond memories of eating their fabulous meals when camping at the Prom. I recommended it to my friends and we all ate last night. Service was rushed and it was busy even though we were an early sitting. I think the kitchen needs to study up on what Cajun spices are. The Cajun Calamari literally had no spice to it whatsoever. A speck of pepper on one of two rings at best. If the fish was ‘Ethically sourced Gummy Shark’ I’ll personally make you a new fish for the roof. The fish my friend got was battered Hake I’m guessing. If you run out of items don’t assume we won’t be able to tell the difference. The salad and chips were good but if I’m paying $30+ for frozen calamari (+10% surcharge) it should at least be served as described.

Great lunch was eaten. Had the Caesar salad and was a large portion, generous in the bacon and croutons and I only just managed to finish it. Very fresh which was just what a salad should be. Good quick service. Nice atmosphere and a very cute chocolate lab sitting there to keep me entertained. Thanks Fish Creek!

Staying in Yanakie, we were advised Fish Creek Hotel may be the best pub meals nearby. Owners of our accommodation said satisfaction with meals and service can be hit and miss here, partly because it can get very busy and chefs would vary. It hit the mark with us. Food was lovely and service was friendly. We were booked in for the earliest sitting available. One disappointment came from grabbing a glass that was horribly grubby stacked in the clean glasses tray.

Large dining room, really good and fast service. Menu is a bit limited, but they do the food really well! Nice and cosy by the wood fire.

We only stopped in as we had heard great reviews from other people. We had planned to stay for dinner, but the day we were there the public bar had a strange odour and on using the toilet I found it dirty. We drove to Harmons Winery and had dinner there, it was much more inviting than Fish Creek, where we were invited in by the staff, unlike the service at Fish Creek. Very disappointed after others had raved about it

Went for dinner with a table of 12. All meals came out within 5 minutes of the first meal hitting the table. Great quality food. All plates were cleaned. I had the Cajun calamari. Calamari perfectly cooked and tender. Cajun spice could have been stronger. Friendly staff.

Went for dinner today and have to say we were all disappointed on the food quality. I ordered the Louisiana Gumbo and there was only a bit of rice, two prawns and a thinly sliced chorizo, my friend ordered a burger that was a block of salt, and my other friend ordered a salad for $25 which barely had anything in it. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I believe that this place is highly overpriced for the quality offered.
