Disgraceful company! I wish I had read these reviews before having anything to do with them. We leased a commercial property from them and got completely stitched up. They do not care at all for the tenants or property owner. It's all about how much money they can scam from you. We were new to commercial property leasing so partly our fault for not reading the fine print. We were not told about a second electricity connection at the property and to this day are still paying off a $4,000 electricity bill that had accumulated. We tried to take it up with the agent however they were not interested. Our business was suffering so we had to break the lease early. We put potential new tenants forward to the agent numerous times after getting the go ahead to do so. They only put one forward to the the property owner. One potential tenant contacted them to apply for the property and were directed to another property instead. All this time we were still paying the lease which was killing us financially. To get out of the lease we covered all the costs of advertising, new Disclosure Statement etc. Which was only fair since it was our doing. However the agent then slapped on another months lease fees for his services, whatever they were. So on top of everything we had to pay another $1,520 just because they could do that. Stay away from this toxic agent. They do not give a damn about people.

This real estate company completely ruined our holidays. We arrived to a pre-paid, pre-booked holiday house and the passcode to enter did not work. Telephoned them to sort it out and we could not get any response at all. The time was about 6pm at night and we had no-where to stay and no way to get into the house! We ended up paying for completely substandard cabin accommodation in a local caravan park and expected a refund from Dodd and Rage but instead, they refused outright and then the next day demanded we pay for a weekend call-out to open the property!!They lie, cheat and scam their way into your wallets. 2% credit card fees but they won't accept cash, fees to issue a cheque to return the departure guarantee and they lied about mess in the house and tried to keep our guarantee. We had to threaten them with Fair Trade and lawyers to get 90% of our money back and lost the $40 booking fee. How they keep their license is beyond us, a completely horrible debacle. Do not use this company do not even ask them for directions, they'll demand cash payment up front.

100% pure rip off merchants.. read there terms and conditions.. they are the most ridiculous of all. I got a call 4 days after our stay with all these allegations and extra fees we should pay.. read the other reviews. There is no doubt in our minds.. These guys are out to screw you after your stay. Instead of apologising for the washining machine, microwave and hot water service not working and having to buy new ones on our arrival and compensating for the inconvenience they try to slap extra fees for the cleaner that wasn't our doing.the phone call filled with blame caused a heated discussion and we feel these accusations were empty and a pure act to create more fees out of thin air..we will never holiday with Dodd and page port Elliot/ Middleton again and we highly recommend you consider it also or be prepared to do strange things which are outlined in their terms and conditions.. I have a lot of words I can use but I have said enough.. Don't trust this business. They are not worth dealing with.. learn from other people's experiences. I wish I had read these reviews before we chose to rent with Dodd and page port Elliot

We were so fortunate to stay in a lovely beachfront property. All of our interactions with Dodd and Page staff were friendly, professional and helpful. They were so responsive and made everything so easy. It really made our holiday so enjoyable. We look forward to booking through Dodd and Page again.

I had a very positive experience with Shirley Sunter as a long term rental tenant. I have rented from other agents in the area, Shirley and the team at Dodd & Page were the best by far. Always very friendly and fair, providing a very professional service I would recommend them for anyone seeking real estate services in the Fleurieu.

My family organised a fantastic time away for my Mums birthday, at an iconic location in Port Elliott, managed by this real estate agency.As I am currently studying full time, the advertised wifi was essential (and also appropriate for the price we were paying) during the visit, so that I could enjoy the weekend with the family but still attend appropriate online classes. Unfortunately, this wasn't working which meant I had to leave the rental a day prior than expected to be able to attend the online tutorials in a place with appropriate internet access, which was very disappointing.Other elements of the management of the rental were significantly below what one would expect for the price paid per night, which is a shame as it very much tarnished what should've been one of the most incredible places to spend a weekend with family.Would be very hesitant to rent a holiday home through this agency again.

We stayed at a holiday unit in Pt Elliot for a weekend in October. Whilst the place was nice, the oven/hotplates tripped the fuse due to a dodgy switch meaning we could not cook our dinners or breakfasts as planned. The property manager didn't resolve this issue resulting in us not having access to a functional kitchen for the whole stay. I provided feedback via their feedback form and a letter, and I have had no response to date (it has been a week since I wrote to them). A short summary of some of the points I provided to Dodd & Page:-• No apology was given except when I had to remind the person I dealt with that this was not a satisfactory situation (even then, it was more acknowledgement than an apology).• No offer of compensation was given.• If Dodd and Page are being paid to manage the unit, then they should provide a service to fix essential items like stoves / hot plates during someone’s holiday stay.• If a key resource such as an electrician is on holiday, then there should be a backup plan – this is extremely poor management of service outcomes for customers.• Phone calls should be returned promptly, and customers should be kept informed of progress when they are left waiting to find out how their issue is being resolved.• Sending an agricultural electrician to placate a customer is condescending (note I had cancelled an ‘actual’ domestic electrician that I had been encouraged to contact but cancelled when the property manager advised they had subsequently arranged an electrician to visit).• The issue should have been resolved – even if they had to phone an electrician from Adelaide.We all understand that things can go wrong, it is how these matters are dealt with that count. This was the worst experience I have had from a property manager and the lack of response is disappointing and unprofessional. Perhaps they'll respond to a google review!

Recently we rented a holiday home with Dodd and Page for the second time in 6 months. On arrival at the property there was a glitch regarding the condition of the property. On returning to the Dodd and a page office we were treated with incredible patience , professionalism and understanding. They went beyond fixing the situation, which may I point out was not of their doing. My daughter and I were treated with terrific service and the little surprise of a bottle of wine left at the gorgeous property we were moved to was the final icing on the cake. Dodd and Page sold my parents their home, resold it for them years later and now have impressed me beyond belief with their old fashioned great customer service. All the staff here are friendly and professional.

I have stayed in Port Elliott in the past and am looking for a nice place to spend an Easter weekend however after reading the reviews here there is no chance I will go through this agency so thanks to the people who have written their reviews and helped me to make this decision. The last place I stayed at was a beautiful mansion called Authenticity and the people were great and so was the food at about $250 per night per room (massive room) so with the prices these people are charging and with these sort of complaints I have read, no way.

We found Philip Dodd very helpful in the recent sale of our house. He came up with practical easy to do suggestions for presentation, and his logical way of valuation proved correct, as our first offer came in less than a week.Philip always gave us at least twenty-four hours before viewings and kept us updated on any progress. Our house sold within a fortnight of first listing.Thoroughly recommend.
