its interesting to see mining town. It is the complete opposite of Queenstown NZ. Quite beautiful town in its own right. Had a nice lunch at Queenstown Train Station.

It was like one person had a great idea, and some other bright spark went ahead and ruined it, as the sign doesn't line up with the town without a drone.

A decent viewpoint of Queenstown and surrounding areas. Stop-off is next to the steel Queenstown sign, with limited parking at the side of the road. A worthwhile stop to stretch the legs, take some photos and continue the drive on the winding path into Queenstown. No facilities nearby, and it's a simply a stop-off point of interest.

This small viewing area overlooking Queenstown is a great location to take in the wider valley area. But it isn't just the views that are available as there is a quite substantial information display providing details of the towns history and its impact on the surrounding landscape.Parking is limited and it is situated on a higher bends so take care when turning in, and consider your parking location plus pull-out angle for safety. All in all an amazing 270 degree view of the mountains surrounding Queenstown.

Another great lookout point. Can view the town high up here. Must be careful since the sign sits at the edge of a cliff. Quite dangerous if you overstep. It's slippery when wet due to the sand and moss.

Amazing view over Queenstown, its sad that so much nature was destroyed from the mine, however it's amazing to see nature taking its place on the hills again.
