No facilities,as you would expect from such a remote location. But the views are amazing on the drive in and the temperature is much cooler than the coast due to the elevation. Be sure to check out the Mt Carbine pub on the way through.

I live pretty close to Mt Lewis so it’s become part of our “guided tour” when we have friends or relatives visit.Basically the track is a 4 x 4 28 kilometre heading upwards through very thick unspoilt rain forest then 28 kilometres back down.11 kilometres in is an old cleared area originally used by loggers many years ago.Along the way there’s information boards giving you some nice rundown on the areas fauna and flora. Also some history of the human interaction with the forest when logging was allowed. You’ll cross one or two shallow creek beds that would make for a lovely picnic stop.No camping or facilities are available so please bring back all rubbish and be aware of protecting the vegitation.Be aware that you may feel you’re the only vehicle on the road because of the remote location but at times there will be others, watch your speed and stay well to the left on corners and crests.

Great drive and lots of wildlife. A few shallow creek crossings and some uneven portions of the track. Expected but still disappointing end of the trail with overgrown route to the state of repair amenities (pit toilet). No other trails appear to be available. Overall nice drive for wildlife and rainforest sights.
