GKR Karate

A really friendly dojo with great sensei's. I've been doing it for a couple of years now. Both my kids have tried it and given up, my youngest because of unrealistic expectations and my oldest because she felt like she wasn't moving up the grades fast enough, but I'm sticking with it because I enjoy the social, fitness and coordination aspects and I'm not just chasing black belt. Pick your classes carefully, though - younger groups can be a bit chaotic and won't do much for older kids or adults, other ones are better for senior students and don't work for new students. There's a range of sensei's, ages and skill levels to choose from though.

Great organisation, the kids and I both go several times a week and love it.
