Not much of a crowd when I was there and got good service. Plenty of Christmas gifts on offer at good value.

I can’t believe there are negative reviews about this AusPost outlet. Joe and the team are amazing. I run a small business locally that heavily relies on their postage services. The team bend backwards to accommodate me and ensure that my business is thriving in the postal world. If I could give more stars, I would.Thanks, Joe and Team!

Can scarcely believe the negative reviews about this Aus Post, Joe, Tanya and colleagues are absolute gems and are always utmost professionals. A credit to the town.

The last few trips into the store are something I regret, rude, cold and condescending would be the most pleasant attributes I could use to describe the staff. As for the mail delivery, for over 10 years our mail has been sent to the wrong address, and we constantly have other peoples mail delivered here, all despite many times bringing this up through the system and in person. Then you have the cards delivered after you've already picked up the parcel, the cards are not bar coded anymore so the parcel can't be traced, the system is beyond hope.

I had the most unpleasant encounter at the Gisborne post office yesterday when my 28 year old granddaughter was applying for a passport. A blonde staff member at 4:30pm behind the counter interrogated my 17 year old as to how come her parents had different names. Get with the program woman!! Several other rude comments were made - even making other clients look at us and wink at the disgusting treatment we received. The interrogation on peoples personal details aired in an extremely loud voice for all in sundry in the post office to hear. It was unprofessional, unethical and humiliating to say the least. To be interrogated about personal questions when the post office had several people waiting in the queue. Please train the staff to be more discrete when asking personal questions at the top of their voice. My 17 year old left the post office in tears. I have known several other staff members on that post office for many, many years on a professional and personal basis so I hope that this particular staff member will be cautioned as to how to handle customers. It was an encounter I hope I never ever have to encounter again in my life.

Last year, I sent overseas some medicine. Gisborne Post Service always handles quick.Once, I brought there some vitamin supplements with a box. I was unsure if I can fit all in standard parcel weight . So, I left my box opened & a man weighed everything I had. After paying, I then realized I didn't bring heavy duty tape to close the box. He offered to help closing my box like any professional global movers!Four weeks later, my Mum received the parcel in Vietnam. We are very happy.That man is Joseph. He later helped my Identity Declaration as well. Thanks JOE for your extraordinary customer service to me! Legend!

I’ve never written a bad review before on a website. But let me tell you. I am disgusted by one of the workers attitude. The woman with a short blonde bob so unprofessional. Went in the get my passport fixed and she had a horrific attitude about my mum not having the same last name as me as they were never married. In 2022 ? Cmon now. Then we had some problems with the papers and she proceeded to make a comment, in front of everyone saying how we had an appointment half an hour ago and we were still here. And just had an attitude when talking with us. So unbelievably rude. I’m extremely disgusted by her behaviour and unprofessional attitude. When your customer is struggling with something you don’t be rude and ignorant towards them. And for her to be so rude about my mum and our family situation. She’s lucky I didn’t rip her one on the spot. Because unlike her I know how to remain polite.

I’ve had to use this post office very frequently over the past couple of weeks and the staff are lovely - having a friendly chat with me while helping to send my mail.

Highly recommended, excellent service every time i visit. Very well trained staff that put customer service first.
