Babinda Quarters

Babinda Quarters was an amazing experience for us. We arrived wet and dirty after being washed out of our campsite at the Bouders, but Garry invited us in and showed us around. That was it. We just had to stay here, the unique charm of the place and the friendly personalised welcome, was so lovely, but then we were offered the Doctor's Quarters for two nights and that sealed the deal. The owner is an artist and her creative touch is evident in every room and every public space.Beautiful artwork, tasteful decor and not a bland corner anywhere.It's clearly a labour of love for Kim and an ongoing project. We ended up staying for 7 nights, helping her remodel curtains for some of the rooms. It was like leaving home and family when we finally had to move on. Just go there. It's amazing! And the little town of Babinda is great too. We miss you guys.

Stayed two nights in a room with a full bed and a twin bed and enjoyed every moment. The staff is genuine and friendly, and you can tell they really care about the place. Our room and bathroom were clean, and we had a mini fridge, electric kettle, tea, and coffee. WiFi and air conditioning worked really well. The shared kitchens were some of the cleanest I’ve seen. There’s also plenty of lounge and balcony space to relax outside of your room.Only 5 km from Babinda Boulders and about 17 km from Josephine Falls, both easy drives. 5 minute walk to the main drag for shops, restaurants, and the local grocery store. I’d happily stay here again!

We got stuck due to the weather when trying to climb Mt Bartle Frere and this place had availabilities. It is so cute and welcoming. The host was kind and offered us dinner after we told him we were eating noodles as all the shops were closed. Couldn’t recommend this place enough if you are near the area

We only stayed one night and it was wonderful! So many lovely spots to sit and relax. Open kitchen for all who stayed. Lovely host who told us the history on the building. We wish we stayed another night. Thank you for a great stay.

We stayed here with our 1 year old. It was amazing. The staff were all so friendly, the place is an incredible piece of history, but the rooms have been semi modernised too and we're nice and clean. We definitely want to stay again, and would recommend it to anyone staying in Babinda.

We had the corner suit units with our own oriented balcony. What an awesome piece of history. We only spent one night, but do live on the area now. So will be back to admire the architecture. Gorgeous Gorgeous old girl ❤️. Staff are so generous and helpful too. 10 out of 10 for us. Keep up the great work. Oh and the price is respectful too.

What an amazing space to stay. Came for work but returning here each evening and starting my day in such peaceful and relaxing place set me up every day for a good day no matter the challenge. Comfortable rooms, access to facilities and local food break out areas that allowed huge spaces to rest in, interesting art and decor to amuse the mind. No matter your reason for being in this part of the world, I cannot imagine a better place to chill out, explore and rest. Babinda Quarters are the best.

What a fabulous restoration of this rambling Art Deco former nurses quarters. The artist owner has created a welcoming retreat. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The balcony provided a relaxing place to enjoy the tropical garden and ambiance of this special place. We will definitely return. Thank you, Kim

The owners and staff were so friendly and accomodating. This place is a must for any one heading to FNQ and or the famous Babinda boulders.The atmosphere here truly is something magical, step away from the busy city life and soak in the rich history this building has.The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Dog friendly and the rainforest backdrop really felt like we’d found somewhere magical. We will be back.

Great place to stay in this area. Stayed with a group of 10 and either very well with very large living room and balcony. Lots of breakout areas for privacy, gardens and deck space.Friendly management and staff.Highly recommend.
