Merriwa Medical Centre

Staff and doctors are kind and welcoming however my partner and I waited an hour after the original appointment time on a day that wasn’t busy and it turned out to be because they hadn’t been checked in which we both found very frustrating

Worst medical centre ever always been bulk billed then because they rang us to come in early because they had a cancellation but the doctor spoke to us over the phone but we still had to come in to pick up a script they wanted to charge us a fee. But nobody told us there would be a fee till the end. Then because I complained they wouldn’t give the script and the doctor and the front desk were getting very rude. And the front desk were saying they don’t know if the doctor is going to charge people or not. They should know that’s their job to advise people before not after.

The Merriwa Medical Centre is a very accessible practice which is well sign-posted and identifiable. The interior is simple but comfortable and the reception staff are the most helpful one could encounter. The wait time for the doctor in comparison to the scheduled appointment was only a few minutes later but the service and attention to detail offered by the doctor (Dr Pieter) was superb. Dr Pieter is a very professional individual and his medical room is spacious and well organised, reflecting even further on the doctor.The Merriwa Medical Centre is a clean and professional establishment, supported by allied health practitioners like dentists and pathology centres.

It's usually a great practice, but if you're a female and suffering from some sensitive issues I'd suggest you avoid Dr Pieter. I left feeling extremely disheartened and honestly a bit upset, and with inaccurate information because in his 25+ years in the field" he "hadn't heard of"

my kid loves the doctor there. They are very nice and funny for my little girl who is the first time to visit a doctor. Appreciate their help and definitely recommend them. Thank you.

Dr Philip Calderbank saw my 4 year old daughter today. Even though my girl refused to interact with him, he was amazing with her. She cracked a few smiled and he was able to give me peace of mind along with treatment for her and a bit of joy in our hearts. We live interstate and if we lived in Perth he would surely become our family GP.Their receptionist had her hands full when we arrived and she gracefully worked through several phone calls and waiting customers kindly and gently, paying full attention to which ever person she was dealing with, without rushing and full of compassion.I will not hesitate to recommend this practice and Dr Calderbank to friends and family who live locally.Thank you so much for seeing my little girl today! I'm a very happy mumma.

Been going here for 12 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. My go to doctor is Hannah Williamson and she is so gentle and compassionate and very thorough. I also have seen Dr McChord on odd occasions and find him very easy to talk to also. All in all a great experience when attending the practice. Reception staff are friendly and all the ladies taking blood are great also.

As usual excellent service nurse appointment on time had flu injection then waited to see Dr Calderbank running behind time very busy still enough time to discuss my health thank you Bill

Great practiceRelyable , helpful, understanding, capable family and mental health doctors that are have experience in a wide range of areas.I have tried other practices as I don't live in the area they pale in comparison to this practice. Thankyou for all the help you have given my family and IHighly recommend
