Had the best day out with Smithy last Thursday 24/11/22. Different day for him as his boat was broken down so he guided me on my Haines Signature 575F. He helped me nail my first Marlin first up. All told we had 3 Marlin hookups with one jumping off quite close. Also caught a 12kg Cobe live baiting and then headed off to get a good feed of Pearlies and Snapper. His knowledge and the way he trained me was very patient and easy going. Brought some of his own gear but taught me how to use mine better which was awesome! Highly recommend his services. AAA rating and I've been out on many Charters over the years so that's saying something!

Smithys Fishing Charters
We would have loved to experience a fishing trip on a boat. To that, I sent an email with our request for when it would be possible. Unfortunately, we still have not received a response after 2 days. It is a pity that we could not experience it or that nobody got back to us at all. We are now continuing our travels with the campervan.

Smithys Fishing Charters
Smith's charters is one of the best operations I have been on in over 80 years of fishing in many places in the world. Although his boat is not large, it is well organised and successfully run by a very knowledgeable captain. I keep coming back because he is good at what he does, but, above all, he is a gentleman and a pleasure to fish with.

Smithy is a bit of a local legend! he knows the SE Queensland waters very well and I have always enjoyed a great day out on his boat. It's always nice to book with someone who loves their fishing and is passionate about the experience. big thumbs up from me.

I have been on several charters with Smithy and we have always got amongst some great fish. He knows the spots and he is not afraid to move around to find where the fish are holding. We will definably book another charter in the near future.
