Pasta Deli

I purchased takeaway meals from Pasta Deli on a night I didn't feel like cooking. To be blunt - it was a major disappointment. All of the meals had way too much salt. Upon inspection of the Nutritional Information panel, I worked out that each meal had 90% of the RDI of salt!! 2 of the meals were so dry they were basically inedible. One of the others had way too many herbs and spices in it that it tasted horrible. The frittata was dry and full of salt. My teenage children will eat most things, however even they stopped eating and we ended up throwing the meals away and cooking ourselves.I understand that this is contrary to most of the other reviews, so am willing to concede that this may have been a substandard batch. That said, I won't be purchasing here again because I find it hard to believe they could have the same quality problem in 4 different dishes.

Generally my go to place for salads and quick & easy meals. I went there at 5.10pm mid week expecting to pick up a salad to go with my dinner, however the salad selections were packed up. The person behind the counter couldn’t be bothered to go to the fridge at the back of store to offer me anything. I ended up at the place near Foodland and picked up a delicious salad. This will now be my go to place going forward.

I went in today with my baby to order a small coffee (love their coffee and it’s so cheap ). I had to wait quiet a while to get it as the lady in front of me was being difficult, she was requesting her money back as they had no lid for her iced drink (they offered to put it in two cups with lid and give her a zeppole for free, even after they agreed to give her money back) . When the girl gave me my coffee she was very apologetic for the wait and gave me two free sweets. That’s called good customer service.

The salads and all the options look amazing, but unfortunately fall short on taste. The service is slow and they don't appear interested providing good all round customers service (at the Glynde store there is often not enough staff to even serve you and those that do, are stressed and rushed due to workload).The chicken appeared to be microwaved or similar so that is was rubbery and chewy. Zeppole's were good, but even struggle to get the coffee orders correct.

Lasagne and garlic bread. Very bland other than overpowering taste of salt. Garlic butter on bread was very scarce. Was impressed first time about 12 months ago so thought last time (6 months ago) was a one off for being below par quality. Tonight was even worse than last time, won't even be keeping leftovers, bought larger serve to freeze but its going in the bin. Def not going to chance it again

Pasta Delis iced lattes are quality. It was delicious. I had a vegetarian pizza, that was fresh and tasty. The cost of the meal was surprisingly cheap considering the quality of the food.

Just moved to Adelaide in march and was a great surprise walking into this gem today in Norwood.The staff are super lovely and Stephan had great customer service .Only fault was getting arancini to go with a container of Bolognese sauce which unfortunately on my trip home the lid came off and it was just everywhere in my bag.Container needs to have tighter seal and lids that’s my only complaint .

Cannoli was very stale, taste old, dry, the coffee was good, however the service was too slow even though they had no customers, the zeppole was dry too, old, stale, the cream was dry, the custard had no flavour, drove 45 minutes was disappointed to find only 5 different dessert varieties that were not fresh.

Got a chicken pasta, Pretty good flavour profile but nothing to write home about, decent price for lunch but unfortunately it came out with terrible cold spots all through the meal. To be honest its probably a 3.75 out of 5. I would still give it another crack though. If i do and its actually hot, then another review to come

Extensive range of salads, Italian dishes, soups and pastries. Staff are friendly and store is spotlessly clean. Highly recommend. Lots of options to make a quick and easy meal.
