So there I was, sputtering up the Toowoomba range headed west. My regular mechanic referred me to Coughrans.Not knowing what to expect I encounter a friendly voice on the phone, when I arrive I encounter more friendly staff.The diagnosis is not good I might be over a barrel.But, it aint so.Major repairs take time anywhere you go these guys seemed to go out of their way to minimize this.Side bar is of course it pays to belong to the RACQ (looong time member top cover of course) upon arriving at Coughrans I spot they are RACQ approved repairers this equals possibilty of great service.Boy they delivered very happy with the result, took the time to tell me any concerns they had and the Bill was less than my expectations.It is obvious to me they believe in proper workmanship at rates that are in my view competitive anywhere.What is prevalent in my mind is that I, by all accounts was over a barrel and they in no way took advantage of my obvious predicament.Zero hesistation in recommending Coughrans. A fair price for a great job.

Brought my car in to have it's spark plugs replaced. They were very helpful and gave excellent customer service. The price for the repair was very competitive to other mechanics. Recommend to my friends and family.

I took my ute in to get the clutch replaced ever since they changed my clutch it has been making a load vibrating sound i took the car back to them but the declined and said it wasn’t them and told me to replace my gear box and no the car wasn’t making the sounds before they replaced the clutch

I recently had a road worthy done on vehicle to change state registration. I was told the car was a right off due to hail damage and not to look elsewhere as everyone would have the same opinion. I suspected this was not the case due it passing three road worthys prior as the vehicle changed hands. It had also passed a road worthy 6 months prior due to another state rego change. It was found roadworthy by the next mechanic I used with some proposed future work. In conclusion the car that was deemed unroadworthy by this mechanic with a multitude (3000 min $) of issues besides the hail damage was quickly found roadworthys elsewhere. Having said this I am not giving them 2 stars for any mechanical work/servicing/ pricing as I had no such work undertaken.

3rd Visit - Booked the car in for a service - when I picked the car up - the check oil light came on and stayed on for 1 min after starting up - and does it every time now. The car did not have this problem prior to booking it in - and no one told me it had this fault when I picked the car up.2nd visit - booked car in for a service, no list was provided with exactly what they do for a service. When I asked if the engine air filter had been changed - I was told no" - then I had to wait while they purchased one and installed it
