Pelican Childcare Heatherton

Pelican Heatherton was the very first childcare my son started when he was only 10 months old. Aline and the staff was very nice and helpful plus the centre is always bight and clean which made me feel good every time I left my son there. Really highly recommend the service here. My 4 Yr old son is going to Pelican Childcare Heatherton from last 8 months and i am highly impressed with the care that my son is getting there. Educators knows each child really well and cater for their individual needs. All staff members are very caring and supportive and must say they all are wonderful people with smile on their face.

Pelican Childcare Heatherton has been a pleasant experience. I can't tell you how we've been met with other childcare centres in the past and how they focus themselves more on running a business than creating a sense of community.I would strongly recommend Pelican Childcare to any parent that is looking for a community centred childcare that can offer a holistic childcare experience.

Both our son and daughter go here and they absolutely love all of the teachers - that is what is most important. Staff are very helpful and accommodating if we need to change days, there is a doctor there on Tuesdays (no more waiting for council vaccinations!), option is present for swimming lessons, daily updates and photos are sent during the day so we can see what the kiddos are up to, the center even has the occasional extended hours to give parents a Date Night. I would highly recommend Pelican Childcare Heatherton!

My son attended Pelican for a year. He wasn’t happy with the previous childcare so with recommendation from my colleagues I have put him in to Pelican as it was closer to my office. When 2019 lockdown came into place we still kept him there even though we had to travel from Camberwell. Because this place worth keeping my son happy and safe! Centre Manager Aline along with all the educators were absolutely wonderful. My son progressed immensely at this place. I cannot thank them enough for the love and affection they show upon all children. The educators are not just doing a job. They are so passionate about children and their development. Unfortunately I had to take him out as we now live very far from Heatherton. I can clearly see the difference of how Pelican operates compared to others. Thank you so much Pelican!

My daughter has been at the centre for almost two years, I have always found the staff there to be loving and a family sort of feel. I had my issue's with the last director in charge and didn't always feel heard by her. But since the new management has been put in place and the amazing Tegan has been put in charge I feel heard and that policies are kept up such as the ratio in the rooms, and every child and family is being treated fairly and respectfully which I didn't see kept up with the last director. The love and devotion the current director Tegan shows to not only her job as director but as an extra set of hands to help out when needed in the rooms is truly beautiful. She is always loving and supportive with all the children especially during morning drop offs when children can get upset. The centre itself is clean and open and a really inviting place with a home feel to it. I couldn't imagine sending my daughter anywhere else the whole centre feels like a family and the new management has just made it an absolute dream centre.

My son has been attending Pelican Heatherton for a year now after leaving not one, but 2 other terrible childcare Centre’s. I have high expectations, as do all parents, and this centre surpasses them all! Every single member of staff is professional, caring, knowledgeable, loving and truly the most amazing people ive seen in childcare yet! I adore each and every one of them! (I also have a 20 year old and a 9 year old who both attended childcare so that’s saying a lot!) I myself am a Nurse and currently working as a COVID vaccinator so my hours, when I work, can be long, but I never ever have to worry because having my son at Pelican is like having him with family. The site ensure the children participate in well rounded activities every day including cooking, learning another language (they’ve been learning sign language! How awesome is that!!) arts and crafts, reading, music and dance, learning numbers and letters, outside play with the most amazing outdoor equipment! Gardening…. And that’s just in the 2 year old room!! Plus with their app you get updates all day on what they’re doing, what they’ve eaten, when they’re sleeping etc and even a photo update with lots of lovely photos of the kids playing and doing activities. It’s the best being able to see my son whilst I’m at work, especially in my line of work it really makes my day! The staff, ALL the staff, actually really care about your child, and about you and your family. The difference this centre has made for us is indescribable, I don’t know what I’d do without them honestly. No matter your circumstances they will help you and your child have a rewarding and positive experience (another area they go above and beyond trust me!)ADD - the centre is extremely proactive in COVID policies and actions. They go above and beyond what is required of them to ensure your child and your family are as safe as they can possibly and humanly can be from this awful pandemic. And this is from someone who spends all day in this industry.Basically if you’re looking for a centre that will treat you and your children like family, will help your child reach and excel at their milestones, keep your child safe at all times, give them healthy yummy meals, have your child having an amazing time everyday and making best friends, and somewhere you can relax knowing they really are treated like family then choose Pelican @ Heatherton! You will never ever regret it and you and your child will be grateful you did.

My son has been at Pelican Childcare for 2 years now (started when he was 12 months old) and the entire Team has been a vital part of his development ever since. We moved a 30 min drive away from Heatherton last year and continue to send our son to Pelican because he loves the educators so much. It truly feels like a family and all of the staff are so friendly and genuinely care about the kids. My son has learnt so much - just the other day we were cooking together and he passed me the bowl to stir and said 'Mummy's turn now'.... (so cute!). From sharing, respecting & recognising others, to manners and language skills - all of those things have been developed at Pelican Heatherton. My son is always happy when he talks about his day and the things he has learned.

My daughter has attended Pelican for nearly 3 years and sadly this is our last as she is starting school.I cannot recommend them highly enough. The carers are just that, caring. My daughter has loved every minute of being there. She has adored her carers, in every room she was in as have I and my husband. My daughter even loves the chef!The activities and fun days they have are endless. The daily emails are absolutely fantastic to keep parents updated.The administration is great too, always there to answer questions and prompt responses to any queries.We will be sad to leave!

My son has been at Pelican childcare for over a year and couldn’t be happier. Each and every staff member are wonderful with all the children. The centre manager Tegan is exceptional, knowledgeable and always makes the time to help out in any way she can. I can’t recommend highly enough what a hidden gem this childcare is and we are truly grateful to know our son is in a safe, caring and nurturing place.
