When you arrived to Westfield, you can see a large sculpture outdoors, and that's the water clock.

It will be good to see it in FULL working order. Someone turns off the water when it's a windy day. So that stops the clock from working. Just let the water going.

Hornsby Water Clock
This ‘clock’ has been a white elephant for Hornsby residents for nearly 30 years since it was first installed. It hasn’t told the time for at least 20 years and is the subject of an ongoing dispute between the artist who designed it and the local council over who should pay for it to be restored to working order. It’s main function now is a meeting place for people to get together.

Unique water clock in Hornsby shopping complex, huge clock runs with force of water, unfortunately the hands of the clock were not working. However it's a good place for shopping and dinning out with availability of cuisine from around the world, Malaysian, Chinese, Maxican and many others.

The concept of the fountain is amazing. The downside of fountain is that it was allowed to fall into disrepair. Hornsby Council has promised to repair it to full working function. We will see.

If you are visiting Hornsby, come to the town circle, where the Hornsby water clock is a central meeting place for all the locals.The place always has a beautiful buzz about it and is very family-friendly.

Hornsby Water Clock
The fountain was designed to be a centre piece of Hornsby Westfield but has been a nightmare for taxpayers who have spent millions to get it working again. Poor design by an artist and a waste of resources by the council.

This place creates a sense of community in Hornsby. It is as if it is designed to create an atmosphere of friendliness. It is a beautiful, open area. Clean as well. Thank you for providing people with these types of places and also maintaining it.
