Wonderful Camp Shanti On NamoiWe absolutely loved it here, right along side the river, mown area, fire pits, and Bill was a wonderful host, such a lovely fella!!We will be back for sure!!

Perfect location by the water and under the stars. Bill couldn’t have been more accommodating after we arrived late in the afternoon (and on a public holiday). If you’re self contained it’s an ideal stay.

Fantastic camp site for all size RVs. $10per person and you get to meet and chat with Bill the friendly land owner. You can have a camp fire and dogs. It’s a wonderfully peaceful location, just try and stay well away from the generator loving campers.

Gorgeous camping spot and lovely cool river to swim in. The owners are really lovely and are very accommodating. We stayed for a couple of nights but would have loved to stay longer. Very easy access to town for supplies, but you do need to be self sufficient to camp. Will definitely be staying again next time we are passing through Narrabri. Thank-you

Great private campground on flat land right next to the Namoi River downstream of Narrabri. Heaps of space either overlooking the river, or right in its banks. Some shady spots but most is on grassy flats along the river.For fully self contained campers only, no power or toilets but a rustic camp kitchen and information hub inside “Shanty” an old-style bus (not going anywhere in a hurry).Lots of green grass when we are there, well cut, but some spots still a bit soft/boggy after recent rain (and about 5 minor to major floods in 12 months!).

Shanty on Namoi Camping
Travelling from Nsw Central Coast to Lightning Ridge,decided to pull up camp in Narrabri. We looked on wiki camps for a suitable place to stop for the night. Thank God for wiki camps, we loved Shanty Camp. It was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. So long as you dont require toilet facilities, than your gonna love it here. Nice open paddocks that are well kept. Grass has been strategically mowed to provide large sites with fireplaces and privacy from other campers. Make sure you're fully self contained and go and enjoy this place

Great camping area with shade on or near the Namoi River, camp kitchen and real nice hosts.Had a few issues with my C. Van and Bill got me onto a repairer who had it fixed the next day and quite cheaply....So much stress taken off my shoulders as u always think of the worst...
