A good place to stop overnight with clean and new facilities. Friendly caretakers are helpful and there are drive through grass sites as well as some with concrete pads. It is close to the highway but the most noise was from the grain trains.

The park is well presented and the caretaker friendly. I booked and paid for 2 nights (Wed & Thurs, 1-2/09/22) with the intention of possibly staying a few nights longer. It turned out I could not leave soon enough.Whilst other reviews cite the noise from the main road and the frequent coal trains as negatively impacting their stay, this noise was not a major point of contention for me. What was a major issue was the number of campers literally squashed into the limited spaces at the park during my visit. On arrival I was advised there was a dog show scheduled for the weekend and the park would be fully booked over the weekend. I was prepared for this eventuality, but not for the incursion into my private space, the constant barking of a dog immediately behind my van and the line up to use the ammenities. My van was literally surrounded! I had a caravan parked only several inches from my awning (the gentleman who owned the van struggled to set up his hoses due to the close proximity). A tent was erected at the back of my van, immediately behind my window and between my van and the van on the site behind mine. A motorhome was directed by the caretaker to park between my car (by then hooked onto my van) and the car parked in front of the neighbour's van. The motorhome was literally parked at the end of my awning. This level of closeness may be appropriate for dog show attendees who may (or may not) know each other, but it is not acceptable for fee paying customers who appreciate some privacy and quiet. Two different caravanners parked immediately adjacent to my van voiced their displeasure at the lack of space and privacy. It should also be noted the Council's Showground web site states powered sites are $20 per night. I was charged $25 per night for 1 person.I strongly recommend the Council closes the park to non-dog show attendees when these events are scheduled, or at the very least limit the number of campers to a site to one camper/ van or tent.

Stayed here for a week with a group. Although there had been considerable rain up to the day of our arrival (resulting in the river being in flood) the grounds were well drained. Excellent and extremely clean amenities here. Good outdoor lighting overnight. Located within walking distance of town and only 1km from both the rural museum and the water tower museum, and just a few hundred metres from the Dorothea Mackellar silo. Constant noise from the coal trains on the tracks across the road could frustrate some but it doesnt take long to get used to them. Recommend for caravans and motorhomes.

The cost is $20 for 1or2 people minimum. I'm a solo traveler in a hiace on a pension. I'm happy to pay $10 per nite, but rules are rules. So it was cost prohibitive for me, bur the site looked good, peaceful. I would have stayed there if i could afford 20 big ones. An excellent place & price for 2 ppl

Great value. $25 for a powered site with water. Toilets and showers are spotless as are the grounds. Laundry $3.00 per load. Dog friendly on leash only. Peaceful surroundings. About 800 metres to the main street/nearest coffee but having ebikes made it very easy.

Handy for town. Toilets and showers recently renovated. Train noise loud..say 55dB. Good area for bike riding. No hot water at hand washing sink but soap ok. There was hot water at the sinks near the showers but no hand drying paper or soap. Rather mixed up.Power circuits inferior. One 15A circuit breaker for two double 15A outlets.!! So two vans connected to one 15A circuit breaker. Really! We lost 240V power one morning. At $25 per night, not the best.

A great place to stop at a very reasonable price. We are a family of five and felt very safe and welcomed. Clean ammenities, water and power. Lovely green grass and shady trees. Quite a few concrete slabs too. Close to shops, ovals and playgrounds. Very happy we stopped here.
