Accompanied friends to check out Aldi as I have never been before.Very messy store with random stuff lying around. Price is generally cheaper than most stores but the selection is really few.Bag got checked even though I did not purchase anything. When I inquired about their bag checking policy, employee simply said manager told him to do so and it’s targeted to random person. If I knew this was a policy, I would not even step inside the first place.Overall, a store unable to keep competitive pricing without compromising service.

Good place for bargains and getting into the Xmas spirit. Lots of goodies from around the world. Surprisingly the prices are higher than I am prepared to pay now. Aldi is neck and neck with the other conglomerates. No competition at all.

I'm new to Aldi's so it's amazing to me why anyone shops anywhere else is beyond me super cheap great quality products . lots of parking since Marrickville metro has opened other side of centre

Had most of the food and items we were after for a Christmas lunch picnic barbecue party. The chocolate chip cookies we bought were inexpensive and delicious. Neatly laid out store.

Munchi on checkout at Ashfield Aldi served me. I handed him a $10 note in his hand, he dumped my change on the counter. When i pointed out that he was rude, he should've placed my change in my hand, he argued with me it was because of whats going on with covid. I told him if that were true then he would be wearing a glove. He was just arguing and lying his way out of it. I insisted he pick up my change from the counter and place it in my hand, like he should do . He eventually did after arguing and holding up the queue. There is a list you can google of what is rude and unacceptable behaviour in Australian culture and what he did is on that list

Attention: Check always your receipts, Aldi checkouts are notorious for scanning ghost items while you are distracted and added on top whatever you need to pay, in one instance Mr.Indian(name withheld) scanned an returned item while the customer was distracted! This and returning wrong change is a very well known practice, Aldi management is aware and finds it very difficult to combat this problematic ongoing practice.
