All the guys here always have time to assist, provide advice and advise me how to do small home projects AND they carry your heavy purchases to the car! Their prices are also competitive to bigger places and I would prefer to support small local business where I can

It's a small hardware store, but well worth supporting, if only to break the monotony of the junk - only places. Also one of the few places where I have found special varnishes like estapol 7008 and watyl marine varnish

This shop is filled with a lot of stock so a great choice for the customer. Staff are attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Nearly always get what I came in for here.

I have bought gear off them before I had any kids and my eldest is now 19yo. Great service, huge range and reliable. from everything Garden, hardware, tools, paint,BBQ's,electrical, plumbing. I have bought pretty much everything there at one time or another. You must be close to your 21st anniversary. Well done.

I've been shopping at Home Hardware in Karabar for over 20 years and continually find them to be exceptional. The customer service is first rate. - it doesn't seem to matter who you deal with. The shop has a wide range of products and the staff have great product knowledge. If there is anything you are unsure of, they are both able and willing to help. And if you have no idea at all, you can tell them your problem and they will come up with a solution for you! On the odd occassion that I've had a problem with a product I've bought there, they sort out the problem for you with a smile.I have no hesitation in recommending Home Hardware in Karabar highly. For your hardware and general household needs, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to shop.

Friendly and helpful staff.I was looking for some items which none of the big store in Canberra had. Randomly went to this store and guess what, I found exactly what I was looking.

I am determined this year to make as many of my purchases in my local area. Need 2 new vanities for my bathrooms, due to manufacturing fault (according to plumber, denied by insurance) which led to ongoing leaking and black mould issues. Went to the local Home Timber and Hardware where the service and ordering process was excellent. Always thought this store was part of a bigger company, but it is locally and family owned. I like to support smaller business, and given how good the service was, I recommend it to everyone. Forget big business and keep profits local as much as is possible.

A place full of people ready to help, but you will pay for it.The Home Hardware is a great place and convenient to get to for those in Karabar who need some odds and ends to finish a project - or start one.Parking at Karabar is an issue, but you can park in the covered car park and access Home directly. One tip is go around the speed bumps they have as they're not 'to spec' and feel quite rough even at very low speed. There are usually plenty of parks down here for a quick 'in and out' to get something.There's a surprisingly large range of stuff here given the smaller size of the store. There's all the tools, drill bits, fasteners, paint, timber and essentially anything you'd expect from a hardware store.I've always been greeted with a friendly smile and an offer for assistance within a minute of walking through the doors. But as it's in an out of the way place you do seem to pay a bit more for the service - but it's worth it as the staff know their stuff or know exactly who will and can get the info fast.Definitely a place to check out.

Very nice hardware shop. Where you can get your day to day hardwate needs for your home as well for the trade industry at affordable prices. The personell is always very helpfull and friendly to assist you with any questions you might have.
