Princess Palm on the Beach

We had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights. Our apartment was modern, clean and tidy. There were even games for the kids to enjoy throughout the day when they're not swimming in the heated pool, playing mini golf or boogie boarding at the beach which was straight across from our rooms. The staff are accommodating and residents very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

The place was okay. Sort of like stepping into a time machine to the 90s. Green carpet foyers on the floors that matched the green wallpaper. The rooms are a bit of a dice roll as they all appear to have different owners who have updated them to different eras. The first one we stayed at was on level 12 and was like it hadn't been renovated in 10 years. Dents in the walls and stains on lamp shades, and a broken side table. The hot water also didn't work so we kindly were moved to another room on level 15 which was on the opposite south side facing room (15a) I believe. This room was much more upto date but the bedrooms were at the back of the unit and hate a very large amount of bird poo on the balcony.The facilities were good as far as a pool a tennis court, bbq areas and a mini golf area.Bit strange the reception closes so early when people are usually checking in the afternoon and are just left with the keys to collect from a safe.Views were very nice as expected being on the beach front, just a little disappointed the owners don't keep all the apartments to a certain standard.

Firstly for the good: The grounds and site amenities of Princess Palms are immaculately kept and very relaxing, staff were friendly and the position cannot be beaten.The BAD: We stayed in apartment 7d which was filthy from the moment we checked in and from there the experience just kept on giving as listed below,1/ balcony doors and fly screens would not close properly2/ carpet is extremely dirty3/ kitchen bench seats dirty4/ internet modem not working5/ internet modem and phone covered in a layer of dust indicating they hadn’t been wiped in a long time6/ balcony mirrors have seen better days and are severely weather damaged7/ fridge main door would not close properly8/ main bedroom pillows disintegrating9/ balcony furniture cushions internals exposed and zipper broken10/ kitchen bar lights, only 1 out of 3 working11/ the dust on the fridge top is something to see!12/ we had to fix the broken coffee Bodum to use it with the plunger lid internals not secured to the shaft13/ lounge room cupboards do not close properlyTo top it off after all the above we decided to make some toasted sandwiches with the supplied sandwich maker only to find someone else’s flat bread still inside from how long ago we don’t know. The unit seems to be a full time rental which has not been maintained or inspected by the owner or body corporate recently. This unit is a 1 star rating to be generous so it’s shameful the owners still rent it out and the body corporate of Princess Palms allows it to happen.In the modern world with COVID and cleanliness being a priority this is not what you would expect from such a facility.

I recently stayed at Princess Palm for a week, in room 12D. I paid extra for a premier room which had been renovated. Apartment was quite nice and all furniture was good too. Grounds are very well kept and the whole complex is very quiet. Great location too.

Our annual trip away to Palm Beach always has the winning views.

Great to find a reasonably priced apartment with great water views, right on the beach at the best end of the Gold Coast.The apartment is old, although I know there are a number (higher prices) which are fully renovated. However the apartment has everything we needed for a relaxing stay - air conditioning, secure parking, well equipped kitchen, ensuite and extra bathroom, internet, pool and other holiday facilities.Service has been very friendly.

Had a family holiday with kids and grandchildren, everything you need, options of the beautiful swimming pool or the ocean right infront of the hotel, The photos say it all. Fabulous stay.

The manager at Princess Palm is terrific, nothing was too much trouble and he was very cheerful and polite. Lovely outlook right on the beach, yet close to shops and cafes. Wonderful!

We have been coming to this hotel for a number of years now and unfortunately it's really showing its age. The permanent residents who live there have been friendly, and most of the staff there are friendly as well and easy to talk to, but this will be the last time we will be staying at PrincessPalm..

Love Princess Palm on the beach. Amazing location, great pool and facilities, the people who run it and are exceptionally polite and accommodating. We've stayed here a few times and have always had the best holidays and best experience. Some of the units are a little run down, but nothing too major. This accommodation is my number one pick on the Gold Coast and love coming back time and time again. Our latest visit gave us spectacular views of a coastal storm quickly passing.Looking forward to our next visit.
