Grafton Lodge Motel

This is the standard all motels in Australia should strive to beat.Michelle and her team made our short stay so welcoming and peaceful on our travel south that we immediately rebooked for the return journey north as the standard and quality was far superior than some 4 - 4.5 star places I have stayed in.Each room is done so tastefully and individually decorated, immaculate and comfortable, all self catering facilities required are provided and the showers have that great water pressure you get in the country with massive shower-heads.Perfectly situated 5 minutes from the city centre or if just passing through ideal no need to go through the main streets of Grafton.Absolute pleasure to stay for a few nights.

Lovely little motel for our travelling family to stay at overnight. The owners clearly have put a lot of thought and care into how the accommodation is presented.The queen (king?) bed in our room was very comfortable, with all surfaces clean and well looked after. The bathroom was lovely and clean, with excellent shower pressure. We appreciated the thoughtful touches in what were provided in the kitchen, also.The only (slight) negative is that the single bed is a bit too hard and not ideal to sleep in as the lighting outdoors in the corridor shines through the windows at night. We wished we stayed long enough to check out the pool area- but next time I guess! I recently stayed at this motel and it was incredibly cute and friendly. The room was like a home away from home and was decorated beautifully. It felt so calming. The service was awesome. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The manageress was so helpful and lovely to talk to.

Train line at the back wall, major road right at the front, so expect some noise throughout the night. Sofa was stained beyond acceptability, and really needs a trip to the tip. The curtains are too small to cover the main window everyone walks past, which was just bizarre.

Room was a dump in a dump of a town. Photos make everything look so good. Lounge was stained & stinky. If our room was your idea of a renovation you need some help. Carpet was stained. Kitchen cupboards need desperate updating .Only hot water in bathroom basin. Curtains did not cover window in main room people walking past could see in. Room was overpriced, you should not be charging anymore than $70 for a couple, & so is the star rating. We have been travelling this past 10 days & stayed in much better for $20 less. Only good thing was the clean comfortable bed. Grafton should be avoided, where has the country town charm gone?

Great pricing for a room, amazing service by Michelle and her team. Spacious, clean rooms, which feel more like your own home than a motel. Only down side is I wish I could stay longer

Recommend if your looking for a motel in Grafton. One of the nicer places I've stayed in. There's 1 or 2 coal trains passing at night but hardly noticed and everything really just makes this little place a winner.Quaint and humble and affordable rates. I liked to modern interiors and the little zen water feature in the outdoor courtyard. There's a laundry, pool and BB. Room has a Smart TV with Netflix app. Staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs.

Nearly impossible to get a full night's sleep, you would have to have some heroin or something just to make it through the night with the constant disturbing noises surrounding this motel. Too expensive. The owner and co workers were rude when engaged with me. Not recommended in my professional opinion.

Scored low because it's so hard to get pet-friendly accom in Grafton.Come on people... provide travellers with accommodation fir us and our pets.

I didn't expect much thinking it is a motel but the rooms were very comfy and very well maintained. Michelle was very friendly. Good for a short or a long stay as well.
