I took jazz guitar lessons with Angelo @Newcastle Guitar lessons.He is a great teacher and excellent jazz guitarist. Angelo has a great knowledge of Jazz music and theory. I thoroughly recommend Angelo for guitar and music lessons.

Angelo is a mentor who does more than just teach the skills of playing guitar. He guides his students in the mechanics of learning and the philosophy of music, too. He equipped me to understand music better, and to know how to keep learning.

I was studying jazz and musical theatre as a vocal student and Angelo helped me with music theory and jazz improvisation. For my HSC exams he helped develop arrangements for my pieces, consulted with my vocal coach and school music teacher and accompanied me with guitar for my performance pieces, both as duos and with my band. I got a Band 6 in music as did a number of my friends who also worked with Angelo as a guitarist over the years. Thanks so much for all you've taught me. Won't find anyone as knowledgeable but also fun to play with as Angelo. Always goes the extra mile. Highly recommend.

Angelo taught our son Sam for about 5 years whilst he was attending secondary school . Angelo was a great help during my HSC. Not only did he assist with accompaniment for my jazz vocal performances, but he collaborated with my school music teacher and myself to create custom arrangements for my songs.He is a highly qualified guitarist who can practice what he preaches.I have have had multiple friends who have received lessons from Angelo, from beginner to advanced guitar stages.There is no replacement for a quality teacher. He will fix poor technique as soon as it arises, so you don't have to work out of bad habits.He can teach multiple genres depending on your area of interest. From rock/blues, to classical and jazz. He can teach tabs or sheet music.If you want serious results, he's the right guy.He wants you to get the most out of your lessons so be prepared, he will teach you exercises to practice at home!He will give you everything you need and is a passionate teacher to keep you motivated.I highly recommend Angelo. Hes one of the best.

I've known Angelo for about 20 years, he has a doctor of music and is very dedicated to the knowledge of music theory and playing in a jazz guitar style. I haven't had any official guitar lessons from him but I've played with him many times as he backed me as a vocalist. He showed my various tips on fingering of chords and how to play various techniques correctly. We played at several jazz festivals together and bars. He's very good at reading music chords and dots and has a good musical ear.Angelo has helped me in the past review music arrangements for any mistakes and rectification.He's very honest and kind & I'd gladly suggest Angelo as a guitar teacher.
