Kyogle Showground

Well this is (or was) my hometown, i came back to Kyogle to pack my stuff as i`m heading back north to QLD, i have been here for ten years so i know Kyogle.So the biggest complaint was the facilities (they was old) and have now been totally replaced with a brand new toilet/shower block, my picture shows one side but its a mirror on the other side no shortage of toilets & showers.The showground is very spacious with lush green grass, if you want peace & quiet just pick your spot there is so much room, i parked near the toilet block but many other campers park on the far side of the grounds, you can run a genny if you want & dogs are welcome.The weekly rate for a powered site is $120 which i thought was very good value, unsure of the non powered site rate?Kyogle itself is an Art Deco town (if you like 1930`s architecture) and it has a newly built Super IGA supermarket & bottle store nearby, just a few doors up the hill from the IGA is Kyogle Quality Meats & they sell the best meat in town, further up the hill on the left is another butcher (Brett) who smokes his own meat (best bacon in town) and bang opposite is Pete`s Food Hall if you just want a good feed (they make their own pies) yum yum.Saturday`s there is a farmers market, its not a busy as it used to be years ago but worth going just to buy Akemi`s real free range eggs (Japanese lady) we also have a good cinema & swimming pool, and a very good doctors/hospital.Lastly & most importantly your stuff is safe in the showground, we have a very low crime rate (good coppers) and our lady caretaker lives on site.Enjoy. :-)

Good camping and caravan options in this large open showground. Grassed powered and unpowered sites available, plenty of room to spread out. Friendly caretaker looks after fees. Facilities a little dated but plenty of hot water for showers. Showground a short walk into town over Fawcetts Creek bridge. Bike paths run past grounds, good base for Kyogle Forest MTB trails.

How good is this place quite location, space galore, helpful and polite caretaker and priced competitively. $20 for two with power and water. Near new amenities which are clean and well maintained. Thanks Helen and Kyogle Showgrounds we will be back!

Went in with the CMCA RV friendly sign out the frontWas verbally attacked by a very aggressive man when I was putting my rubbish into a skip bin,after using dump point, was not allowed to take water unless I paid $5 to fill up to 8 litre drums!Was very confronting as a solo female travellerWARNING

Great place to stay. Plenty of room, good facilities. Laid back and good people around. Def stay if passing through the area

Great showgrounds, green grass, power and water. Close to town centre. Great IGA!! Very friendly and helpful caretakers. Would definitely recommend.

This place is a great little place for a overnight stop or a week's holiday.Helen the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. The toilets and shower are all single rooms and very clean.There is power and water for $20.. a bargain.
