Woolmers Estate

We had a guided tour in the house for one hour but you cannot access all the rooms of the house and you cannot visit the upstairs floor.The house is in very good conditions.You cannot take pictures inside.There is a nice caffè /restaurant and souvenir shop.

A beautiful place to visit. When we were there, there was a car club event so it was very busy, a good wait for cups of tea and coffee. I’m sure they did their best to get everyone sorted.

Need to prebook if you want to see inside the house as they only run at certain times. There is plenty to see without the tour and an excellent self guided booklet.

A must see while in Tasmania. Loads of interesting Tasmanian history, beautiful gardens, cafe, souvenirs. You will need a couple of hours to enjoy this historic house and farm.

The estate has famous rose garden ,vintage cars and buildings on display. The visitor information centre has restaurant with various food options.The estate has an entry fee for visitors

An interesting art collection in the gallery and the buildings ĥold a lot of colonial history. Worth a walk around to see the rose garden when in bloom.

Must be quite a few ppl work here to keep this place going. But no 1 could tell me how many it's a shame even the ppl in the shop couldn't tell me. Maybe this should be known or how many volunteers.

What a fascinating place to see. We did the guided tour of the Homestead. Our Guide was a distant relative of the original owners and very knowledgeable. The Rise garden was something to see and smell. Loved our visit there.

I have rose garden envy! So many varieties of beautiful healthy plants in full bloom. We thought we'd just drop by for a quick visit but ended up spending a couple of hours here, there was so much to look at. Explored the fascinating history of the property and views of the local landscape before going in to enjoy the local artists on exhibit in the gallery. Restaurant on site is a cool respite from the sun with beautiful views of the gardens and estate. The staff were so friendly and chatty, full of information and great tips. My only disappointment was that they got rid of the original apple orchard to build the car park. Otherwise a highlight of our visit to Tassie.
