Don’t get me wrong, the food was good quality and have an authentic japanese katsu experience. Tomahawk was good, tonkatsu was good and cheese katsu was good. Pink salt and pickles are quite good, meat was tender too. It comes with truffle oil that enhances its fragrance! The only thing is we waited for like 1 hour just to get in and we were really starving at that time and waiting for the food for another 20 minutes. What makes it irritating is that one of the people that came after us was served first with similar dishes that we order. Well I understood the place is not too big and many people queue for it, so better if you have better customer service and can serve in the right order it probably will be better.Might or might not come back - idk if this is the same for other branch tho.$30 pp roughly

The last time I had a tonkatsu set was in Kyoto, Japan and I recall it being one of my favourite dining experiences on the trip because it felt so traditional and was also delicious. Dining at Katsuco took me right back there! Just as good as what I remember from Japan and there are so many options for everyone to try including curry and udon. Amazing food, amazing presentation! The restaurant was packed with a line at the door and I can definitely see why.

Best pork katsu in Brisbane. The set is so filling always make sure you go there early. There is constantly a line up. But the table turns around relatively quick.

Everything was great and I really liked the quality of the condiments... Food came out rather quickly even though we had to wait 5/8 minutes to be seated. (which was fine)...Miso soup is very good. Could do with a bit of tofu in it... But still very good. Both the chicken and pork batter were light and crispy...

Had a lovely meal at Katsuco, customer service is attentive, good quality food and clean atmosphere. I ordered tonkatsu(fried pork cutlet). It didn’t taste too oily, pork was nice and tender, good portion for 1 person. There’s already a line outside by midday lunch service which is a good sign for restaurant hidden in the suburbs. Bookings are not allowed so it’s first come first serve. There’s also a 5% discount if you pay in cash. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out.

Stepping into Sherwood's KatsuCo, you're greeted with a vibrant atmosphere that's got a heartwarming buzz about it. It's casual, it's laid back and it doesn't take itself too seriously. You'll find the staff friendly, bringing an easy-going vibe that feels comfortable rather than overly formal. You're not just a customer here, you're a welcomed guest. They’ve focused on delivering quality, and that's evident in their produce. There's a clear appreciation for sourcing good quality ingredients, and it shows. The cutlets, in particular, are handled with care, cooked just right, delivering that comforting, home-cooked taste that hits the spot. It might not blow your mind, but it's the kind of satisfying meal that keeps you coming back for more.Tonkatsu Maisen Aoyama would surely give them a nod for keeping the tradition alive. They're doing it justice, even if they're not trying to compete with Tokyo’s finest.A little downside – there’s no Katsudon on the menu. It's a minor hitch, but something that could add another notch to their belt.KatsuCo’s charm lies in its simplicity. They're not trying to re-invent the wheel, just serving up good food that resonates with its patrons. It's a straightforward approach that’s refreshing in its own right. This isn’t your typical date night spot, it's more suited for a casual night out with friends or a family get-together. But it’s this unpretentious vibe that makes KatsuCo endearing. All in all, KatsuCo Sherwood is like your favourite song on the radio – it might not be groundbreaking, but it’s familiar, enjoyable and something you’d look forward to on a casual night out. It’s good, honest food that leaves you with a sense of satisfaction. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
