Lovely cafe and bookstore. The staff is always extremely friendly, the coffee is excellent, and they have an excellent atmosphere for working and catching up with people.

This is a perfect place to sit and ponder, not to mention their excellent coffee. On a later visit, are you understaffed? Please clean your tables between sittings...

New Bookoccino has been up and running for long enough now to be just itself now. You can join its socials to take part in talks and book launches. It has a cafe street front which has been embraced by the locals. Laptop coffees work at its indoor upstairs long bench. There is a childrens lit breakout space up the back. The Prana chai is $7 and you will be pouring it yourself. Nevertheless the book you desire will be found and it is Avalon Beach.

There's just a really good vibe in bookshops and I was feeling it in Bookoccino this visit. I went with my daughter to find a book for her to buy with her birthday money and just had a really nice time hanging out with her in there and browsing the books. The book selection is good (although personally I'd like to see more fantasy), including for kids. The music was also noticeably enjoyable. Next time I'd like to get a coffee and bunker down for even longer. I feel Bookoccino always has a bunch of good covers on display and included a few of my faves here :)

Great hybrid concept (congrats on whoever applied it): It's a bookstore/library, it's a Café, it's almost a marchand de journaux" type of local joint. It closes in the late afternoon

Wonderful collection of books and if they don't have it, they will try to get it in for you. Fantastic coffee and the service is friendly and welcoming. Willing to drive an hour there at least once a month just for the experience.
