Typical standard country hotel. Rooms are a nice size, just a little old. Lovely service, good quality.

The dirtiest most depressing dive I have ever been in. The health authorities should be onto it. Absolutely disgusting you get people going into business raking in the money and won't spend one dollar on it. Hope the tourist bureau don't advertise it. Didn't stay for anything couldn't get out of there quick enough.

Never stayed here but always pop in for a pub dinner. Popular pub food, but make sure you are seated and have your order in prior to 8pm or you will miss out. This is a great spot with all those memories of traditional country pubs.

Went for a beer at the hotel and sat outside overlooking the Blackwood. Plenty of room on the lawn for the kids to play and to bring your dog. Staff were friendly and it was a great atmosphere l.

Did not stay, so cannot rate the rooms, we ate at the bar and grill at the back. It was super busy but we didn't have to wait unexpectedly long for our meals. The menu was limited if you are not fond of seafood. My husband had a wagyu burger. He enjoyed the burger very much and particularly remarked on the lettuce in the burger being crisp which was a delightful surprise as it has normally softened by the time food arrives at the table. I had the chicken parmigiano. Sadly, for both dishes the chips were overcooked and crispy rather than crunchy. The parmigiano was overcooked to the point where the bottom layer of breadcrumbs was dark brown and almost needed a steak knife to cut. The chicken was saved from being dry by the sauce and cheese on top, but in some places the cheese was blackened rather than golden. It was def not the worst parmi I've ever had, but it was not the best either. Disappointing is where I would rate it.Atmosphere was great, and maybe we were just lucky but all of the kiddies in the restaurant were very well behaved so kudos to their parents. There is a pizzeria attached and we were seated close to the door. All of the pizzas that came out looked delicious and were stacked with toppings. May try them at a later date.We only had a brief glimpse of the spectacular scenery as we arrived just on dark, but the view has been recommended by several locals AND tourists so we may go back during daylight to check it out.

I visited on a long weekend, just make sure you book a table or you won't be able to eat on the weekends. I usually love the 80's pub vibe, but the owners really need to spend some money on the hotel. It has so much potential. The beer is cold, and the food is delicious.
