Evette’s work is amazing, and she is a lovely person also. I’ve taken various items to her since moving to the area, with the most recent being my heavily sequenced dress for my bridal shower which required very intricate detailing and extra time to alter. I've been to Evette twice and so far both times she has done an excellent job. I took a long silk dress and my partner's suit jacket + pants from Politix for alterations. She made great suggestions and completed them quickly. She is very busy though so try to take your items in as early as possible.

Yvette did a fantastic job fixing my wedding dress. I came to her with very short notice and a really difficult job. The previous company had sewed in a cheap corset that ruined the neckline of my dress, I asked Yvette if she could sew fabric underneath the front straps to blend in with the corset underneath and make it a solid V neck. It was extremely technical and difficult work because of the extensive beading and silk fabrics of the dress but Yvette was determined to make it work and she did an incredible job. I got so many compliments on my dress and had the best wedding day. I would not hesitate to recommend her. Thank you Yvette!

Evette is lovely and has done an amazing job altering my lace wedding dress. It was a big, intricate alteration (basically re-designing the dress) and she reassured me and checked in throughout the process. Evette is an accomplished dressmaker running a very successful business for the last 22 years, situated upstairs (between the convenience store & coffee shop) by Miranda train station. A lovely, friendly lady who does beautiful work - every piece I’ve taken to her has been finished perfectly. If you’re looking to get a professional job on your alterations, look no further!!
