The serious problems with my mower were explained and shown to me, so I realised the amount of work required for the cost. A thorough job was done and turned around in 3 days. Very happy with the result.

there is not better and more honest guy than Tony at A1 Mower Repairs. i personally have known and been dealing with Tony for well over 20yrs. he has had over 40yrs experience in the trade and certainly knows what he doing. the quality if his work and turn around on jobs are nothing short of amazing. he is the only mechanic who can and will repair any brand machine that is brought into his workplace. people will drive from everywhere round brisbane to get there precious machines fixed. he has a very loyal customer base who routinely get there machines serviced. well worth the effort in entrusting Tony to work on your machine. highly recommended and the best small engine mechanic that i know

Could not fault the work of Tony in bringing our mower back to life. We neglected it only to have Tony work his magic on it. The mower works a treat after a major service. Do not go pass A1 Mower Repairs for a quality service at a very competitive price.

Do not recommend! Use a shop where u will get an invoice. He gets very aggressive and acts as if you insult him when you're simply asking questions. Will not be using again! picked up my machine and it was left in the pouring rain upon pick up without coverings and with exposed electrical parts and no air filter on and everyone else's under a tarp. Will be using a proper shop next time where they can provide an invoice and break down of costs as I was charged $150.00 for work and everything that I was told would be done including (tank change, carburettor change and more) was not done. Completely take advantage of! You will not get this at a shop, I will definitely be waiting for a shop to free up next time. Feel like I've been ripped of on top of him telling me I've been ripped off for buying them machine in the first place.

Rude, cantankerous and self-important. Likely the people who wrote these reviews appreciate thinking their getting it cheaper by paying cash and not paying GST to a proper local business that pays taxes and wages. Don't know, don't care. Tony is overtly passionate about Victa mowers which you can accept when dealing with him. My intuition tells me he's dodgy. Told me his wife just passed and his business account frozen and that's why I couldn't pay by card. Might be true, don't know, but he got upset when I asked for a receipt for $550 worth or work. Sorry Tony, but as good as your work might be or the amount of work you have, I won't be using you again. Too much didn't add up! You knew this was coming mate, don't treat customers like idiots even if you think they are.

I moved to Mitchelton 3 years ago. One morning I went to mow my yard, and my mower had come off its frame and axle, and the whipper snipper was struggling. I couldn't lift my mower into the back of the car. It was so heavy. Unbelievable service. 3 day turnaround and price couldn't be anymore fairer. Highly recommended.I dropped of an old mower that hadn't been running well for years. I was about to throw it out as no one could get it running properly. Then I stumbled on to A1 mower repairs one day as I was building just around the corner and thought I'd give it one more go at getting it running again. Tony looked at it and within minutes gave me the run down on what the problem was, right there on the spot, and the quote to repair. 3 days later was the mower ready and it has never missed a beat since. He did the same magic to my whipper snipper. This guy is the lawn mower whisperer and I couldn't recommend him enough. Just picked up my mower and whipper snipper from a service again and I wanted to write a review because people need to know how good the service Tony provides.An absolute Wizard with the small motors.
