Cleveland Winery

Absolutely loved the stay here for a family trip. Had 1 night at the venue, enjoyed extremely tasty and generous food portion, great wine tasting experience, firewood, hottub and clean rooms. The staff members were very friendly and helpful also. Everyone went over and beyond to provide comfortable experience. Will definitely go again. Highly recommended.

We celebrated a significant birthday at the Carriage House restaurant at Cleveland Winery and had a wonderful experience. The staff on the day were exceptional - catering to every request. We enjoyed pre drinks on the balcony and delicious wood fired pizzas in the restaurant. Highly recommend this venue. We’ll be back.

I have sent an email with details of our stay, and have not yet received a response. I will outline the issues here, and simply copy and paste the email.Since the email was sent I called regarding the $40 charge and have spoken with the staff, who denied any wrong doing, and offered the $40 back begrudgingly after a long back and forward conversation. No apology, and the money isn’t in our account yet.Good morning,While the accommodation was lovely with pretty surrounds, I need to raise several concerns I have.The first is that there was no communication regarding late check ins and arrivals. I called during the day on the way up to gain clarification, and the phone wasn’t answered. It took us some time to figure out where the room was because of the lack of communication.The second is that while you call the room an accessible room, it is not by any means an accessible room. The door is heavy to hold open while a wheelchair enters, there is a step to the outdoor seating area, the toilet is narrow and difficult to get to in a wheelchair, and the shower is completely inaccessible. To call this room an accessible room is not fair, and untrue. Perhaps hire an accessibility advocate to see what you can do to comply with accessibility standards in future.The third is the lack of communication around the extra $40 payment that was suddenly taken out of our account. There was no conversation around an extra charge between March and April. The payment came out without any communication at all. On the phone, I was told the room was $592 for two nights, but the payment that has come out doesn’t even equal $592! The first payment that came out was $$559.45 on the 6th March, and then the $40.54 that came out on the 12th April comes to $599.99!There is a serious lack of communication which is disappointing on many levels.

We work in highly stressful jobs and were looking for a getaway to relax and recharge. We went to Cleveland Winery looking for space to just be, to disconnect from stress and connect with ourselves again. Cleveland Winery was a perfect choice.We stayed in the Mt William Standard Room, which was cozy and looked out to a garden/sitting area. Unfortunately the windows didn't open (or we couldn't open them), but that was just a minor thing.Breakfast was included with our room and it was really lovely. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were amazing - genuinely friendly, warm and welcoming. We were served by Akshay for breakfast, who was super friendly and helpful.Dinner at the restaurant - Carriage House Restaurant - was delicious! We had the Tiger Prawns, Barramundi and Butternut Squash Risotto. We generally don't enjoy fine-dining but this place was really down to earth, with lovely staff and a relaxed vibe.What we loved about Cleveland Winery was the feel of the place, with it's rustic tin buildings and gardens set up with chairs, tables and wine-drums in what seemed like hidden and untouched places. It was peaceful and beautiful, and just eased all our stress away.

Beautiful setting and lovely rooms. The wine tasting was included and very enjoyable.Although the food was lovely it took sooooo long to come out each time we ordered. I assume they (like everyone else) are short staffed in the kitchen.FOH staff did a great job.

We had a wonderful time at Cleveland Winery. We were fortunate enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The staff were so attentive & helpful.We thoroughly enjoyed wandering the gardens & vineyard. Enjoyed a cocktail on arrival & a full breakfast. We cant wait to visit again!

My partner booked this little relaxing getaway. Nice venue and good food. Our first night was terrible (avoid any room near the back entrance/play room, if you can), we had a group of middle aged adults come in the back room intoxicated and making a such a noise we could hear everything. It didn’t help with a drunk woman yelling outside the door at 4am and trying to get in. Insulation is quite poor and you can hear every footstep and conversation. The staff were amazing though. Shout out to the gentlemen who served us on Boxing Day who was the only waiter on and run off his feet (he had only been in Aus for a week - what a boss he was!). BIG shoutout to Sue for her hospitality every morning at breakfast. Sue asked how our first night was and I told her what happened. She arranged us another room with reception straight away, took my number and called me to let me know we could swap rooms. Sue checked in the next day to see how our stay was going - Amazing! Reception and housekeeping were also very nice to deal with. The view from our new room was great and much quieter away from the play room. The rooms in general are nothing special (except for a good view if you get a room with one) but are comfortable for a short stay nonetheless. Due to the great service and food I have given this stay 4 stars.

Beautiful winery! Akshay and Brontë were lovely and so hospitable. They made our stay perfect. We were gifted this weekend away by friends and enjoyed a wine tasting, walk through the property, a hot tub experience, 3 course dinner, s’mores by the fire and then a delicious breakfast on Sunday morning. Special shout out to the man who held our wine tasting, I forgot to ask for his name but he knew so much and was really easy to chat to. The grounds were beautiful and we were even able to check on early when we hadn’t timed our travel correctly. Rooms were beautiful and clean too.

Staff were very attentive from the service at reception, where everything was made clear, from where our room was to where to go for dinner and breakfast with a map that was easy to follow. There was even a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival that was enjoyed outside on one of the many tables overlooking the gardens and mountains. The gardens and surrounding’s were lovely with lots of different paths for you to choose so you felt like it was your oasis, despite the other guests.Dinner that night was generous, Akshal (apologies if this is misspelt), and Emily were very attentive despite the amount of guests there were, then for breakfast we see Akshal again, what a worker and always ensuring the guests did not lack for anything. Not sure who the other attendee was at breakfast but she was very attentive and bubbly. Nothing was ever an issue with the staff during our time.
