Had a van 'repaired' by Portland Automotive Services late 2017.The repairs involved the replacement of an engine from a van bought from a motor dealer related to the owner of this company. I note that the engine was replaced, however the cause of the mechanical fault was not repaired.Of greatest concern was that the coolant was replaced as part of the list of work done to the van, however when tested by a reputable mechanic (this time through the NRMA) we were advised that the coolant was so far from being of an acceptable standard that a coolant flush was required. Work that should have been done when replacing an engine was not done, and multiple coolant leaks required fixing when the vehicle was returned to us.Would not recommend this repairer to anybody. I'm not sure if the sub-standard work was carried out as this was being done on behalf of a relative, however the quality of the work carried out indicates that they are willing to cut corners.
