Harbour View Motel

We stayed for one night on our way through to Adelaide, walking distance to restaurants & the beach, the room itself had all the necessities for our stay, comfy king size bed, not sure about pillows as we always bring our own, my only complaint - I didn’t feel the shower was cleaned properly but would definitely recommend!

For the price paid the standard of the room was very ordinary, nothing like the photos online. The bathroom was very old and tiny (needed upgrading). There was no sink to wash the cutlery and crockery after use, one had to use the small basin in the bathroom! The basic standard of the room deserved a $130 price per night, not the $185 charged. I won't be staying here again.

Had an excellent stay here, while driving past Robe on our way to Adelaide. Clean rooms had everything we needed and staff was friendly.

Unsafe and negligentThe people who rated this place a 5 must not travel often! We arrived on a Sunday (as booked) to find that they don’t staff the office on Sunday. By accident, a person was there let us into our room- she had popped by but made it clear she was t working. Other Sunday arrivers weren’t so lucky as their rooms were unlocked, no key. The room was basic but clean…. The bathroom minimal and a bit musty smelling. The bigger issue was no internet. NONE despite our booking saying “ wifi is available in all areas and is free of charge”. Not even a wifi address accessible! We called the contact/emergency line, it rang unanswered in the locked office. We tried email (all with large roaming fees) but nothing garnered a response. This was totally unsafe especially for “foreign” tourists without local cell service. If there had been an emergency, we would all have perished.In the morning, all the guests from different rooms gathered in the parking lot to discuss their “challenges”. Great guests, lousy motel.

The room was very clean and the staff very friendly and down to earth. The items in the Mimi bar are very reasonably priced. The view of the marina and ocean from the balcony are exquisite. We did have a $50 great escape voucher which we used. At $245 per night (with out voucher) I do feel it is a bit overpriced. All in all though an enjoyable stay.

We have been staying here for a number of years now. Tim and his wife Kate purchased this hotel recently and are dedicated to making some upgrades, which so far have been exceptional. Very much family run, all of whom are the friendliest, most accommodating people, nothing is too much trouble at all. We were made incredibly welcome, and the location is perfect, the views over the harbor are memorizing. Already booked it our next visit :)

Great Location. We had one of the Panoramic Harbour View King Rooms which was excellent. Very comfortable, well appointed and indeed a panoramic view of the harbour. The staff were also very helpful with suggestions on what to do in Robe.

We stayed for 3 nights over Easter. We found our room to be very clean and comfy. We had the room with the kitchenette on the ground floor which was very spacious. TV and internet was very good and parking was easy and close to our room. Easy walking distance to the town centre and all its attractions. Price was very competitive.

On a short holiday for a few days in Robe, My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was one of the great places to stay. Friendly staff, great value, and a short distance from town center. The one thing that stood out was the serves excellence provided. My wife and I did not realize that it gets a bit cold at night in Robe. On the first night we had problems as we could not work out how to use the air conditioner to warm up the room (the people before us who were tech savvy changed the remote to program, and you may need a university degree to work out remotes these days) so we went to reception, explained the room was cold, the young lady said that she would make sure the room will be ok. (now someone who thinks outside the square) before checking out the air conditioner she went into her own room and brought out her personal portable heater. She states Just in case". She did work out that the remote control was changed and adjusted it for us. Service excellence to the extreme who would give up there own comfort for someone else. Highly recommend this place just for the service. If in Robe and need a place to stay (even for a night) use this place you will not regret it.Cosi Director Cavbiz."

Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean. Location and view spectacular. Short walk to marina and main street. Quiet enough to have a sleep in. Can hear the mighty Southern Ocean from your bed. Would definitely stay again!
