I manage a Residential Property on the Gold Coast and had to upgrade the hinges on the Pool Gate to make it compliant to the new Queensland Laws. Part of this was I had to have a safety cap on the bottom hinge as it was less than 900mm from the top of the gate. I then realised that what I thought would be a simple task, became one of finding a needle in a haystack. I could find plenty of Hinges, but no safety caps for the bottom hinge.Then after much googling, I found Gatesplus with exactly what I wanted. Better still, after all my research, I was surprised at how competitive their prices were. So I ordered at around 2pm in the afternoon. So I was completely blown away when the hinges arrived the next business day. I appreciate Australia Post does overnight delivery, but how good is Gatesplus to have packed and taken to Australia Post after 2pm.I would fully recommend Gatesplus.Thanks for the amazing service.Jarrod

Bought product off ebay and came to pick it up. They refused to honor sale because they made a mistake. Was told to come in only to get shafted.

Slow on the email response however, when the order was placed for QTY 4 hinges they were dispatched the same day and arrived within 48 hours. Good hinges at a good price including delivery.

Gary the owner of Gatesplus is a very decent business man and having just finished installing an automatic slider for my driveway, has my utmost respect and thanks. Good quality gates and accessories, all made in victoria by him and his team, with excellent attention to detail. Reasonable and well priced and honest in all dealings. Wanted to some steel and gate kit to build my own Roller gate. Like another person has mentioned, these people are too busy to bother replying to emails. What's worse in my case was they were even to busy to deal with me face to face. First I drove out to their premises and told them what I needed. They said they would get back to me with pricing etc. When they didn't, I then sent them an email with a list and prices I found on their website. One thing was missing a price as it wasn't listed on their website. After they didn't reply, I drove out a 2nd time with a printed copy of my email. Same girl at the desk as the first time, couldn't answer a question about how much that one item was. I asked if I could purchase the items right then and there and was told they had to put together a quote. Said they would get back to me. Days later still no response.I can't believe that I drove out twice and they couldn't do something as simple as sell me stuff. It's not like I was asking them to fabricate or install anything. I just wanted some steel to make a rectangular frame and a gate kit!In the end I went to a local steel merchant. They sold me everything I needed including all the gate hardware and even cut the steel posts to size. It was way cheaper and I was in and out quickly.Very disappointing experience with this place.********* In response ********************Anyone can see for themselves that the response from the owner does not address any of my concerns. He clearly has no interest in this andInstead prefers to spend time trawling through the web trying to make me look bad, by making false remarks about my 43 reviews being mostly negative. Well the evidence is there, I have way more than 43 reviews and a majority are not not negative. so the owner is wrong here!Prior to my comments here there has been no positive reviews or activity from reviewers for 12 plus months. Straight after my post 3 people, each with only 1 review to their names, miraculously all posted positive reviews exactly at the same time 3 weeks ago. Out of those 3 guys, one is clearly the same person who posted 12 months ago with 5 stars and no actual comment. He posts under the same name spelt slightly different with 5 stars again with no comments. If you look at the photo in both profiles it's clearly the same guy. You can't get anymore fake than that!Then have a look at the negative language and combative responses from the owner not only to me but to others here who dared not to praise him. These poorly thought out replies clearly show a lack of professionalism and priorities. It's unbelievable the owner had time to read 43 reviews but could not be bothered getting back to me.It's also clear from some other reviewers comments that the owner doesn't respond to emails in a timely maner, somethimes not at all. In my case not even 2 store visits got a response. In another case he didn't action an order for 7 days after a customer ordered online. If you choose to use the internet as a means to promote and do business treat customer emails, online orders, phone calls and especially store visits equally important.It was the owners lack of action that solicited this negative feedback and nothing more. He needs to SUCK IT UP and learn from the feedback!

I have recently dealt with Gary from Gates plus who has assisted me on 3 seperate projects for my business including: powder coating, supply and installation of gate motor/ hardware & the complete construction of a gate. On each occasion I am reminded why I keep using Gates Plus, because Gary goes above and beyond expectations of customer service.
