Michael's Chinese Restaurant
Very bland. No honey on honey chicken. Bbq pork in plum sauce was like jerky and couldn't taste any plum sauce. Definitely not worth the money that was spent there. Will be going back to my original Chinese shop in future.

Don't get me wrong, this is the epitome of 'westernised' Chinese food. However, the flavours of the dishes we ordered were nice and overall the food is pleasant and fresh. I recommend the Cantonese Beef, Chicken with Plum Sauce, Singapore Noodles, Prawn Omelette and Short Soup.

Glad Michael's Chinese has finely re-opened since moving from Old Bar Taven.Food very much the same thank god.Hope they do well in this position which is proving a hit with their take-away.Only thing they should change is there seating very congested and would need to book early for a table of 4 or 5.See you soon.

Hot and sour soup was just chicken stock with heaps of pepper in it. Vegetable chow mein had no noodles. Special fried rice had no vegetables. Lemon chicken sauce was green. The only redeeming qualities weee the free crispy fried noodles and it was ready when they said it would be. Won’t be going back,

A local favourite. Always quick and friendly with reasonable prices. Satay and honey chicken is absolutely delish. A must try if visiting Old Bar for a short amount of time.

The friendly staff and the fish in soy and shallots were great. The garlic prawns were also a winner. They forgot the chopsticks and I had to ask for my Chinese tea. Unfortunately, it was a bag, not leaf.We had finished 1 meal before the other came out. Luckily we were sharing. But would recommend for the fish.

The food and staff at Michaels were amazing! We went there with a large group and we all walked out with full bellies and doggy bags!! The meal sizes were generous, the prices very reasonable and the wait, there was no wait! Food was fresh, steaming hot and in front of us so quickly we didn’t even get to finish our first glass of wine!! Thank you team, when we are back in Old bar next you are on our list of places to eat!!
