Brian Burke Reserve
This place is such an awesome little hike close to the Brisbane CBD, there isn’t a whole lot of info on this place online but it is super accessible and heaps of fun. This place is a great place to train as there super steep hills to climb which is an amazing calve workout. Walking the outside of the loop and the out and back trek took about 1 hour walking at a brisk pace. There is no lookout at the top of the mountain but there is multiple places to stop and relax along the way.

Brian Burke Reserve covers large part of House Mountain. The track leads to the peak about 382 metres above sea level. There are no facilities within the reserve. The track is shaded most of the way, so it is a pleasant walk even on a sunny day. There is no observation point at the peak. However, on a clear day parts of the Glass House Mountains can be observed while bushwalking on the track. Some research is required to find approach and entrance to the reserve.

A great trail, only 18km from the hustle and bustle of the city! Nice and quiet, the track ascends steeply at the start, before levelling out as it follows the ridgeline, and then continuing upward toward the summit. Good level of fitness required, especially for the first section. Too many trees to get an uninterrupted panoramic view, but you will find small pockets with good views over Samford Valley and surrounds. Make sure to bring plenty of water and shoes with good grip.

A nice track, plenty of different routes. Great for fitness but no facilities so keep that in mind. They do have maps throughout the trail which are helpful.

Plenty of steep walks that will keep your heart rate up. Recommend wearing good shoes with plenty of grip as fire trails are steep enough to be very slippery in places.

Some amazing hikes and bush walks. Don't expect panoramic views at the top of House Mountain range, there isn't enough cleared trees to get what would be stunning views. Still, if you like a relatively challenging hike, it's well worth it.

Short trail with some signage. Quiet. No toilets. Makes for a nice jogging trail if you enjoy the steep inclines
