H&R Block

Do not waste your time with this place. The accountant who did my tax return (not going to say names) was rude and extremely uneducated in his field; trying to tell me false information. Since my appointment I have done my own research and now know what he told me was incorrect. I actually don't know how these people keep their jobs.

Pretty much same feeling as the previous review except I was lied to by the head office I have used hr block for three years and so have many of my friends. I was meant to receive my return and didn’t I questioned this they blamed the tax department so I rang them turns out hr block put in a different account number to pay the return too! it’s always been the same number! My advice steer clear of them someone who you are trusting with your money can’t get an account number right isn’t right for the job. I am glad I have managed to speak to several friends that use them and they have all gone else where and won’t be returning. In short go anywhere else !!!! I mean anywhere.

Was $200 last year for a very complex return, with 5hrs of spread sheet work (including back and forth emails) and this year with a simple return of no more than 20mins work was quoted over $300! Definitely recommend NOT dealing with this place!!!

Very expensive for a very simplistic tax return. Possibly under new mangement, as last year this cost me $100 for a standard tax return (only employed under one company) with no deductions and most recently it has gone up to $140 with no prior knowledge or advising. I understand $40 may not seem very much, but why pay extra when you can go somewhere cheaper and have the same result?

Just don’t go. Will find any reason to charge you more then quoted. Wolves in sheep clothing. will take everything.

Get a quote before proceeding, I was charged $504 for an individual tax return, he did take 2 hours , wish I earned $250 an hour.

Helpful and thorough. Good to find that Tax Associates have all tax returns scrutinized by a highly trained panel before ATO lodgement.
