Very disappointing, we went to the casual dining section and ordered the garfish, it used to have a crumbed option but we were told that this was no longer on the menu. Instead we were offered grilled fillet of Garfish. Unfortunately we ordered this, the Garfish was two slim fillets too thin for grilling, it was not fresh, the sad little fillets were slimy with a very stale under taste. Lazy and cynical cooking, the person who cooked it has never eaten their own cooking and if they have they are the musical equivalent of tone deaf. My advise is to find somewhere else that cooks with integrity and love of produce and pride in their work.

I am really fond of this seafood Cafe! The food here is simply fabulous. The restaurant is right in front of horse shoe bay, and you can enjoy your meal while listening to the calming waves of sea. I am always sceptical when it comes to seafood, and this place offers the best quality. The price might be a little heavy on pocket, but the ambience, taste and the quality is worth it.We ordered the following:- Australian Prawn Skewers with Mango, Chilli & Coriander Salsa. Too good! We hogged on this delicacy in seconds.- Barramundi Bites with Sriracha Aioli & Lime. The flour to barramundi meat ratio needs to be appreciated and these have the thinest coating of flour and have a lot of meat in every bite. Again, no complains!- Natural Oysters (4) with Lime. The rustic and fresh flavour of oysters is raw and strong. Depends on your palate. Am not too fond of oysters but everyone at the table cherished it!- King George Whiting (battered and grilled) with Fried Herb Chat Potatoes, Lettuce, Cucumber, Feta, Onion & TomatoSalad, Lime & Tartare. It was a seafood lover's moment to rejoice. This fish is one of my favourites. They definitely did justice to its taste.- 300gm Porterhouse Fillet with Truffle Scented Smashed Potatoes, Red Chimichurri, Broccolini, Baby Carrots, Garlic & Thyme Butter. Loaded and heavy, this dish is a meat lover's heaven.- Seafood Platter for Two King George Whiting, Calamari, Prawns, Cockles, Oysters, Fried Herb Chat Potatoes, Lettuce, Cucumber, feta, Onion & Tomato Salad, Lime & Tartare. This was the star of the show, huge platter containing all types and varieties of seafood. Do order it if you love seafood and have a big appetite. Will definitely be smitten with.

Well ordered a take away fish and chips for lunch on Friday and a coffee. Coffee was fair to good. I wish i had opened the box before I left. When I did once on the beach the the oil soaked battered fish was inedible and the majority of the chips were all the little hard ones that get spooned out after cooking, that are hard as rock's. It was midday when I ordered no one waiting for food or coffee. When I went to the collection window the fish and chips were ready before the coffee????. Shocking meal!!! Oh and extra 30 cents for vinegar..... Hands were to greasy to touch my phone to take a picture. Very disappointing as produce was there the care factor on quality zero.

Great little place to have a delicious dinner. We had the Steak and the Squid Salad. A little on the pricier side, but the food is well worth the cost. It is all cooked beautifully and you get a really decent portion size. The service was spectacular! It is all table service and the wait staff a friendly, welcoming and helpful. The space itself gets a little loud when it’s full, but so do most places these days. You also get a lovely view of the water rolling in as the restaurant is right off the beach! Will definitely be going again.

Flying Fish Restaurant in Port Elliot is a hidden gem... right on the seashore. We've been twice in 2 weeks and both times it has been FANTASTIC! The food is top quality, created by an amazing chef (and apprentice) and the Friday specials are awesome, with a main meal and complimentary drink! Staff are attentive and dedicated to clients' needs. A great place to dine all year round for breakfast. lunch and dinner.

Beautiful lunch overlooking the bay.Awesome views.Delicious food.Seared Australian Scallops for entree were stunning.30 day Aged Najobe Scotch Fillet was divine. The Crispy Pork Belly with sweet apricot chutney was so delicious. I can't wait to return to have this dish again.Great service - we were running late and it was kindly accomodated. We went a bit past closing time as well due to our lateness but again this was accomodated beautifully. Our waiter was attentive and gave us really good service.Overall beautiful meal, location and food with excellent service.

Beautiful views and friendly staff. Cool little place. I would say the food was a bit lacking for the price, $96 for platter for 2 is pretty steep for a lunch and was definitely enough food due to being bulk out with chips. The cockles had a fair amount of sand in them.Nice flavours, but probably not for me again, maybe just takeaway next door.

What a lovely cafe! We were staying at the nearby holiday park so we came here a few times. The coffee is great and lovely service from the girls there. The views are gorgeous and I could have easily sat all day, drinking lots of their great coffee and admiring the view! Do yourself a favour and drop in. It's well worth it.

Sitting by the window, enjoying delicious food, watching the beach, waves, flying seagulls, and people playing happily outside the window, is great.
