Went for weekday lunch with colleagues. There's potential here, and the restaurant is generous.Service was very good and we didn't wait long. Lunch Special prices are mid-range and portions are generous, but copious amounts of salty seasoning and rich sauce don't compensate for lack of protein & substance - the quality and quantity of meat in the 3 dishes we ordered was consistently lacking. The soups included with the lunch special were served tepid, gelatinous and unappetizing, but - we were offered complimentary bao that my colleagues enjoyed very much.

Lovely food, the soup dumplings had so much flavor - both the soup and the meat, along with everything else. Popcorn chicken was particularly stand out, not had something so surprisingly good in a while.Service was great, staff were polite and welcoming. Did feel sorry for the girl on the door hawking though, usually that makes me give a place a wide berth; fortunately she wasn't out when we were passing and noticed the new place on King Street to try. Will be back to try other items on the menu, it all looked so delicious. Great to have so much choice for Chinese food on King Street, after Happy Chef burnt down we had a while without anything but there's a few opened recently and it's great to have so much delicious variety.

Found on Eatclub app, I decided to give it a go for lunch. Visited sometime in April. I had Mapo tofu lunch set that comes with either a soup or a drink, and I chose a soup.Reasonably priced and both the soup and the dish tasted great! The portion was too big so I couldn’t finish it. I would like to go back to try other dishes. The restaurant seemed new and clean, and the staff member was nice.

Delicious and authentic chinese food! Those pork buns were incredible and well executed. The first bite of the buns pop and the mouth watering juices ooze.Stand out dish was the Sichuan spicy popcorn chicken. It comes in the non spicy version too but its 2023, spice is life!We definitely over ordered and took most of the mapo tofu home which was an absolute treat to take it to work the next day.The staff were superb and went above and beyond to accommodate us two and infant child.New favourite chinese in Newtown! We will be back again!

Hidden gem. Would recommend. The staff are super friendly, the food is fresh and amazing value for money. The food came out without huge delays and it was delicious. We kept ordering more dumplings and they didn’t take forever to come out like most dumpling joints.Would recommend the prawn dumplings, and the Peking duck!

Horrible takeaway/delivery experience. They substituted an item without my knowledge and charged me more for it. Replaced with a soggy san choy bow that is inedible. I believe they replaced as they may have priced my original item incorrectly. Rest of the food is very small portion sizes for the cost and not good. Avoid this place at all costs.
