Visited the Echos Restaurant for a birthday lunch last week and the first thing that screams amazing is how beautiful the restaurant is with the panoramic views of the blue mountains. The whole ambience of the restaurant and hotel is rustic and beautiful. We ordered the Pan Seared Scallops which was so flavourful. For mains we ordered the Lamb backstrap, which was cooked to perfection. The Lamb was juicy and the minced lamb dumplings on the side left us craving for more. The slow cooked ocean trout was a bit too salty for our liking. For dessert we ordered the Apple Tarte Tartin, which was slightly underwhelming compared to the rest of our meals. We would probably try then Matcha Creme Brulee on our next visit. The service was flawless and the staff were extremely friendly and polite. On a whole, it was a beautiful experience and we will be back soon.

A restaurant with a breathtaking view and delicious food. We highly recommend the Tuna entree was very tasty and the wasabi cream was amazing; the taste of wasabi but without the heat! For the main the beef tenderloin was the stand out; quality meat cooked perfectly. Finally for dessert the Banana Cheesecake; the perfect way to end a delicious lunch. Many thanks to the staff who made us feel very welcome!

Delicious 2 course meal - meats were perfectly cooked with delicious flavours accompanying and impeccable service.Would love to visit again, for lunch next time, to fully enjoy the view as going for dinner meant the spectacular views were hidden.

The views were breathtaking. I didn’t manage to get a seat near the mountain view but was able to walk around to take some pictures and the staff was kind enough to help take some pictures for me as I was dining alone. Service levels was impeccable. Took the 3 course meal as it was a Saturday. Had pan seared scallops for entrees. It was very good. For main course, I chose the Duck confit. It was for me a bit disappointing, the duck meat appear a bit overly cooked to me as it had a rather tough texture. The dessert was great. All in all, would have given 5 stars had the main course been better but I did enjoyed the evening

$300 for 2 adult 2-course and 2 children menu. Tasted OK, view is nice, but inside is quite hot, could not breathe, had to walk to outside to get some fresh air.Once in a lifetime is fine.

To begin with, staff were absolutely amazing and helpful, really makes an impact on the atmosphere. Service and wait times were acceptable. Views were also a great addition. We had a 3 course meal, as well as breakfast the following day.The entrées were probably the star of the menu. Well flavoured and presented. The mains however, were less impressive for the reputation and price. The confit duck in particular was lacking in texture and a memorable flavour. Deserts were well presented, but also lacklustre in their flavour and texture to stand out as differentiators or to justify their cost.Breakfast was fairly standard, no major highlights to note. We were booked and confirmed under a buffet breakfast option, but disappointed to find out on the day that this was not available.Overall would still recommend if you’re looking for a fancy experience in the Blue Mountains. Try to catch the sunset time. Views are predominantly to the south with some exposure to the west.

We were lucky to get a window seat & really enjoyed the relaxing ambience & gorgeous views. Food was quite flavourful and had a Japanese twist to the standard modern Australian cuisine, the lamb & beef was cooked perfectly tender and was generous serving sizes too!The only down side was the extreme humidity & heat we had to dine in. There was no aircon & we felt like we were in a sauna. It wasn’t the most luxurious experience but overall we still liked the food & ambience.

The place was wonderful and look vintage but great and has a parking space as well. We had lunch at their restaurant and had the two course option with mains and entree. We had the lamb and angus for the mains and quail and salmon for the entree, the quality was excellent 5/5. The view and service was on point, would highly recommend for having a nice meal, it is pricey though but worth it.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. The staff were wonderful & attentive & the presentation of the food was nice however I think the Chef was off for the night & the kitchen hand was cooking our food. It was most definitely NOT the standard of food one would expect from a hat restaurant. The Quail Entree was ok, I would give it 6/10The Duck main was a soggy mess 4/10The Apple Tart Tatin had no caramelization at all &.the apples were not cooked 3/10.Needless to say we feel completely ripped off having spent nearly $300 on this lackluster meal for two & we won’t be back.

Just don’t bother. The atmosphere started off promising with the table we were given. And then a table of 15 sat down behind us. The meal also started off promising with the amuse-bouche which was a scallop, the same as the entree my husband ordered. And then the main was served. The waiter actually told me the reason the meat was cold was because I ordered it medium-rare. It was replaced with an over-cooked bit of meat instead which was inedible! And every course was served with seaweed. So disappointed!! We won’t go there again.
