Monumental waste of time and money. Spent six months with this practise for my four year old ASD2. Our sessions were conducted by a junior/assistant with a senior supervising- supposedly. We had 50min sessions fortnightly with zero communication regarding our child’s goals, concerns, or progress. Zero guidance regarding ‘homework’ or practices to continue outside of session times. When I raised my concerns with our senior facilitator they had a 30min conversation with me. I raised a lot of my concerns and observations with them only to re read it all almost word for word in their $400 report. What a waste.Now we’re told we need to have an end of term review for another approx $200 that has to happen now(!) in the school holidays. We requested and extension due to Covid and financial reasons. We’re told if we don’t have that appointment now we’ll lose our position and have to wait another six months.I can’t help feel if we were given proper (any!) feedback each see session that we wouldn’t need this review.I have spoken to our paediatrician, our Life Start facilitator, other reputable OT companies and they all agree we have not received OT best practice. I’m livid. Avoid this practice.
