Empire Grill
Just a great night, thank you. Ambience was lovely, food even better. Would have happily given five stars, except my partner and I both ordered steaks, one rare porterhouse… one medium rare eye fillet … and they were around the wrong way. BUT WE DIDN’T CARE!!! Just stunning. Would happily have eaten beyond full purely because of the enjoyment. And when it came to dessert, the choc mousse was almost too pretty to eat. Having said that, we still managed! Ha ha. And many thanks to Jessica who was the perfect mix of personable friendliness and respectful efficiency. Thanks for a great night.

This was our first time visiting the Empire Grill. I would have to say that it was one of the best experiences we had had when it comes to quality of food and the service to match. Well done to the staff!

We received this dinner voucher as a present - such a great gift idea!Thank you for a perfect anniversary dinner. Delicious food, beautiful wine, relaxing atmosphere and attentive service. Short walk into city centre. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend The Empire Grill.The friendly and accommodating staff went out of their way to make my Mum's birthday special.All dishes were delicious and so beautifully presented.

Welcoming, attentive staff and delicious, beautifully presented food always. One of our favourite restaurants. Good acoustics so you can hear each other. Good space between tables. Highly recommended!

Another great dinner at Empire grill. I always look forward to having dinner there when we visit Geelong. Their steak is simply the best. Desserts are delicious. We had scallops for the entree - they were very yummy as usual. The only things I wasn’t quite flattered by : in-house made chips weren’t crispy and not much in the basket, soup of the day was kind of flat, definitely missing salt and something else. I ordered duck, which didn’t have enough sauerkraut, which I was looking forward to have. Also the restaurant was quite busy, so it took a while to get meals. Overall I enjoyed my dinner and definitely would recommend Empire Grill.

We had been keen to dine here having heard great reports about the food, albeit on the pricey side. Sad to say it didn't live up to expectations. Service was extremely good with friendly and attentive staff. The food was pretty average. Calamari looked and tasted like it had been cooked from a frozen packet. Steaks were ok, one of our party ordered rare but it was wasn't. Green beans looked a bit the worse for wear and the fish of the day was pretty dry and underwhelming. I know this is at odds with other reviews but all of us were disappointed and expected more. The chocolate mousse was nice once you managed to get through the gelatinous stuff covering it which again seemed like something that had been brought in and not prepared in the kitchen. We did find the presentation of the salt and pepper funny, paper sachets like McDonald's, but again not what we expected from a restaurant with the reputation Empire Grill has

Nikki super star. Great customer service, friendly, professional and very sweet to my little one.Food was delicious.Wished that I was able to stay for dessert. Highly recommended.Definitely will be back.

Nicky, our hostess, was sensational! All the staff were great, very attentive. The ambiance is charming and although there were other patrons, it still felt intimate and cozy. The food was decadent, the Pineapple and coconut salsa which came with the pork belly was an explosion of wonderful fresh flavours.The eye fillet was cooked perfectly, the chips were crispy and the mushroom sauce was divine.A must try is the tortellini, so fresh and light and full of flavour.The chicken breast was perfect, the filling I believe contained tarragon so if you don't like it's strong flavour maybe not for you, but I lovedOverall a wonderful dining experience, an absolute must try. I can't wait to come back.
