Augathella Palms Motel

Nice family room, very spacious and clean. We arrived late and the kitchen was closed, still they accommodated us by making sandwiches late in the night. Appreciate their helpful attitude.

Worst customer service, my cat ran away and was no where to be found for hours. I called to ask if they could keep eye out for her and catch her and I would organise transport. I was told I had woken him up and he has 100 other things to do then worry about something like that. This business won’t last long if this is how you treat your customers.

What an awesome little pub! We stayed across the road in our caravan and used the showers and restaurant at the hotel and it was amazing!Pay $5 for a shower and get a $5 voucher for the bar! Win-win! The food is terrific, and the staff very friendly and welcoming.There's a nice little caravan-park out the back and magnificent one across the road along the river. The shire council was building a brand-new shower/toilet block when we were there, so the town is just going from strength to strength.

The pub next door runs the site. Room was small but clean and serviceable. Delivered a delicious huge parmigiana to our room. Mediocre coffee.

Lucky to get a cabin for night during this season. Called a head to book, reception sounded lovely & was welcoming. On arrival same cheerful manner applied. Cabin was way better then expected. Fresh, clean & comfortable. Honestly, I was expecting less! Menu was a typical pub style menu. Did not disappoint in serving size or taste! No shortcuts to salad either or meat ~ there was plenty! Compliments to Chef & Staff!! Overall, well worth the break in your drive and Augathella is a nice tidy Outback town to turn off the highway and see.Will stay again!

Cabin ready on arrival. Spacious and clean Next door to pub with same owners/management.Meals available in pub and not typical. Very innovative, generous portions and great quality. Appears to be social centre of town with great vibe. I can see why the bushrangers tethered their horses in Augathella. Felt like home away from home. Don't change what you're doing.

Stayed here for a night. Friendly pub with good pizzas as it was pizza night.Stayed in a cabin which was very clean and good amenities.Marked it down to 4 stars due to the aircon in the cabin was not working properly. It was a cold June night and the aircon would not stay on to heat the cabin. Didn’t find out until after the pub had closed so had no one to let know about it. Chilly night.Other than that I can recommend staying here, just check that the aircon is working, lol.

Okay! Wow! We have driven across the country, and this place is above and beyond. It’s open for late checkin through the pub which has great food. We each had a rib eye steak with corn on the cob, carrots, peas, scalloped potatoes AND chips! For $35 each. We actually couldn’t finish it (and we’re big eaters) better than the $65 + sides steaks we had in Airlie beach. The cabins are new and super cute. The sheets are SO SOFT! My partner and I are so happy we got a room here, especially since we ended up here as a last resort. We had a boat on and the owner made sure we had a place to park. The staff is sooo friendly and accommodating, we really appreciated it. If we are ever back this way we will no doubt be staying again. Thank so much !!!!

Room was nice and neat, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Parking is a bit of a luck dip, cars was parked everywhere in between the little demountable rooms. We had a hard time fitting our car in close to our room.When we got there it was already night time, had to walk into the pub to get the room key. I might be over thinking but as a non white Australian, with black hair and brown eyes and very much Asian looking. The pub stopped when I walked in and it felt like all eyes was on me and I did not feel welcomed. One of the pub visitor turned toward me and was making pretend Asian talk at me. I could not get out of the pub fast enough, we stayed in our room and for the rest of the night and left before sunrise. I have experienced racism many times before but I have not been made to feel fear like I did in Augathella.

Brilliant cabins, genuinely welcome the dogs.. always a warm reception. and good pub foid
