The service was great very welcoming but the maintenance of bikes is a bit of a downside.I get that they are taken over to Rottnest Island and they get salty as hell but I believe if they were washed and oiled after each trip they wouldn’t look like they did.Out of three bikes, one worked fine even though the brakes were a bit weak, one bikes gear shifter wasn’t working, annoying but manageable but the third bikes battery lasted 40min before it died and the right hand break fell apart.Overall great and easy service but the bikes rented on the island looked a lot better maintained.

We hired 2x E-Bikes to take over to Rottnest. The guys at ocean cycles gave us everything we could’ve needed, lock & helmets + a parking sign for free day parking and also came with a bag on the side of the bikes which meant we weren’t carrying our backpacks all day. The bikes are super speedy and you can get a lot of the island done quite quickly if not all (we just stopped a lot to snorkel) I would 1000% recommend hiring from Ocean Cycles. Super lovely, great communication I just texted to let them know we missed our ferry and was no worries for us to drop off later than I had initially arranged. Super grateful- has been the easiest part of our trip!Thanks for everything!!! :)

Arranged for the rental of 2 e-bikes to take over the Rottnest with Ocean Cycles and I’m sure glad I did. Everything went smooth - from the email communication in the days beforehand, meeting me at the shop before it opened to drop off. The biked were in great condition and instructions were easy to follow. Located very close to the ferry port. Made our visit to Rottnest a great experience!

Highly recommend this shop, we rented two ebikes and travelled to Rottnest Island, the bikes were well maintained and owners helped us throughout the arrangement as we are from overseas. Definitely worth the money if you are planning to cycle around Rottnest

If you’re heading over to Rottnest Island, do yourself a favour and hire an e-bike from Ocean Cycles. Not only did the bikes allow us to see almost the whole island in a day, our bikes were comfortable and came with everything you need. Great communication and service from Ocean Cycles and the free all day parking was a bonus. Thank you for making our Rotto trip even better!
