I'm from Melbourne, here for a conference. It's 4 degrees, feels like 1 degree and raining. With a name like the Department of Pizza how can I not try this? The reviews are great and the pizza certainty does not disappoint! Garlic prawns, perfect amount of chilli, same with the cheese and fresh tomatoes. That crust was sensational. Why can't I get pizza this good in Melbourne? Hats off to you. You've made my day. Thank you.

We dined here for the first time last night. We ordered three (3) different sour dough wood fired pizza’s and could not fault them. They were absolutely sensational. The only very minor issue is that the Garlic Prawn Pizza was a lot more spicy than anticipated. The dinner was exceptional and we will definitely be going back again. Job well done!

Delicious pizza and prompt, friendly and fabulous service! Our pizzas turned up super quick and were tasty and generous. the staff was so friendly, providing water to my toddler and turning up with paper towels when my kid spilled water everywhere. Would come back!

The gluten free bases are made in-house just like normal pizza bases, and it's really good too! The toppings are simple, elegant and very tasty. The Department of Pizza is without doubt the best pizza restaurant I have ever eaten at.

We walked in and saw the wood fired pizza oven and knew we were in for a good time. We ordered the garlic prawn pizza, the toppings were generous and fresh and the crust was perfectly cooked. Only downside to this place was the pricing which was a bit expensive at $26 for one pizza. I would go back again though as the service was good and the pizza yummy

Good Italian wood fired Pizza and a nice restaurant. The style was a bit like napoletana but crispier and thinner. We loved the deserts too!the cannoli and the poached pears with mascarpone were incredible! Gluten free option was really good. Pretty busy so you need reservation and you need to fit in a 1 h window, which is a bit tight.

Small venue. Friendly service. Great pizzas and house made Gluten Free pizzas are available (one of the best so far). I love the potato pizza. The GF lemon ricotta cake was very nice.

Great spot for a date night and the potato pizza is always a knock-out! Super fresh dough, great combos of toppings and selections of desserts.

Have been to the Department of Pizza a few times now and it has quickly become my favourite italian pizza restaurant in Canberra. Pizzas are delicious and authentic. The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Great place to go with friends or as a couple.
