Monga National Park
One of our favourite parks. Tree ferns abound and Penance Grove is magical. You can also get onto The Corn Trail. Plenty of good 4wding

Just beautiful. Drive carefully. The most beautiful areas are access proper 4wd only..with obligatory recovery gear on board. Hidden gems all through the various forests. Also try Misty Mountain Rd about 20min east of the Monga turnoff. Unless you live local to here you won't have time to explore it all. Consider yourself warned re: only go into deeper areas with a proper 4wd and knowledge how to use it. Take care and dont damage the bush and the tracks. Phone reception is poor.

Monga National Park
This is a national park for people who like beautiful forest, an amazing range of plants and a sense of serenity. If you prefer sweeping views and dramatic waterfalls, try another park. Some of the most beautiful parts of the park are its rainforest creeks, such as the upper branches of the Buckenbowra River - it takes at least half a day of off-track walking to reach these places. Joining a bushwalking club is a good way to find out where these places are.

Very nature national park but still didn't recovery yet from bush fire 2019-2020, most trek has closed in the parkEnsure check trek to open once again before you will go there.

Nice park, plenty of forest walks,a bit out of the way,but that means it's not overrun with people

Another gorgeous national park. Well worth visiting. Beautiful old forest accessed via a gravel road. I hardly saw anyone and the river looked very inviting.
