Cathedral Rock National Park
Beautiful easy walk. Not for people afraid of heights right at the end. I found there to be QUITE a lot of people to be honest for somewhere reasonably rural, so don't expect to be alone. Really interesting rock formations. We went in winter and it was extremely hot still so... it's pretty exposed!

We were going to go for a walk but found it very dry. We started but stopped as the levels were too hard for us. I am adding the photo of the different levels.

A beautiful place to visit if you going to Armidale area. We spent a half a day with 3 children. Grade 5 track has few steep places to pass through. Has to be very careful with children if you planing to go top of the rocks.

Beautiful granite tor National Park. Steep climb (with a chain 'handrail') to get up to the very top. Good campgrounds w toilets, fireplaces and picnic tables.

Worth a visit. 1 star because it was a lot harder than the descriptionLevel 5 walk. Fit people only. Not recommended in thongs, but a few blokes did it the day we were there. Its a loop, so the climb is in the middle.I didnt do it but my adult kids and husband did.

Beautiful National Park! The Summit to Cathedral Rock is medium difficulty hike with beautiful scenary and stunning 360 views at the Summit! The last 100 or so meters does require use of hands for climbing although there is a chain to assist in a small section. Be careful with the rocks as they're sharp and will cut your skin (not deep).

This national park is a bit off the road and a bit out of the way. But it's a beauty, the landscape is unlike anything I have seen in Australia. Large boulders are scattered into a wet land and a forest. Nature is pristine and well preserved. We saw a few wild cangoroo as well.

What a stunning place. The summit loop track is very accessible (grade 3 walk, although officially grade 4). Still significant fire damage along the way in June 2020. The grade 5 climb to the summit is not for the faint-hearted! It starts simply with a fairly steep ascent up to the base of the rocks. There are many places where you need to squeeze through crevices, jump over decent drops, and clamber up step rocks. There is one chain to assist in the final ascent to the 1500m summit. Spectacular views of Round Mountain radar station and the surrounding areas.
