Mount Jerusalem National Park
Good tracks, big nature, long distances ( good to have a car or a friend with a car )

Mount Jerusalem National Park
Beautiful national park, lots of walking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Plenty of waterfalls to discover, along with swimming spots. Dramatic mountainous scenery. Well worth a visit.

Some amazing scenery, arguably up there with the Gondwana Rainforests. This park has no formal walking tracks or facilities. Reception is limited. Best to investigate attractions on Bushwalking websites.

Beautiful rainforest and water hole when we eventually found it. No sign posts...could walk for hours and hours if you didn't know the area.

Hell's Holes, Mt Jerusalem, is a downhill walk from where you can park, but worth the effort climbing back up. The trail (car width) is easily traversed, following the old logging track through majestic scribbly gums, and remnants of the old timber cutters marks can be seen in the old tree stumps. The side track off Sand Ridge Road along the creek to the pools, is rough and some rock scrambling is required, however the effort is worth it. Today the pools were crystal clear, and babbling gently. It is difficult to get to the top of the falls itself, and it is not recommended by National Parks, as it is a sheer drop into Tweed Valley, so beware. Overall, our hike took two hours return, and well worth it today whilst the track is dry. But it would be very hard and slippery to traverse after rain. Enjoy while you can in this dry winter weather.

Wide trails, not signposted well so you need an online map. All regrowth from old logging areas but good views and appropriately rainforest like

Some terrific scenery and quiet, tranquil walks. The drive to get there is a bit more rough than anticipated - bumpy dirt roads - but we managed.

What a day. It was a 10km walk. Hell Hole was stunning, loved scrambling down the rocks. Google Maps don't work here.

Some great little spots in this park. Hell's hole and unicorn falls are both lovely and nice for a swim. A five km return walk to hell's hole but there's a car park right next to unicorn. Only thing I'd like is a bit more signage.

Great spot. Definitely worth a visit. We walked down to ''Hell's Hole'' waterfalls. It was a lovely experience, 45 min stroll one way - nothing too onerous and at the end of it we were rewarded with a beautiful spot with great views... Strange name for such a beautiful place.... Not sure of the history or motivation for the name. Puzzling!
