Great little park, with the three essentials - playground, bbq & toilets! Across the road from heaps of takeaway shops. It can get pretty windy as it’s right on the river!

I enjoy coming to this place. Good for families. Shops close by. There is a Woolworths around the corner and short stroll to Main Shopping street and Jetty. There is free parking, BBQ in the park, Public Toilets and undercover sitting area for general public. Beautiful views of river water. Its a busy location sometimes. Your children will love this place as there are swings and slides with secured fence around.

Great place to watch the sun set. We got some fish and chips from the amazing a fish shop called dory" (you must go) and ate our afternoon snack whilst waiting for the sun to set. Not very scenic during the day

I do quite adore these foreshore parks, and this one is really no exception. Well, it probably isn't one of the best that I have seen, though since Ballina is actually on a river as opposed to the ocean, then this is more of a riverside park than a foreshore park. The other thing is that since it is behind the main street you really only get the back on the shops, though there are a couple of cafes and restaurants here.

Always an inspiring place to visit on the bank of the Richmond River but even more so when you take the grandkids and their parents. Sheltered near the BBQ whilst a quick shower passed and watched two paddle boarders heading upstream towards a rainbow.

A beautiful place to get the feel of the river. Fishing, dog walking, bike riding, great playground that is fenced off for safety of your child. Coffee and ice-cream nearby to enjoy. Restrooms at back of restaurant and plenty of grass and seats for picnics. Wonderful sunsets in the evening.

Since moving to Ballina this month , I’ve happily spent a few times experiencing Fawcett Park … with either sitting & relaxing at one of the picnic tables or strolling though … whilst visiting this scenic location along Richmond River foreshoreThe semi lengthy Fawcett Park … is made up of 2 parks - with a riverside restaurant separating these same name parksFrom anywhere along Fawcett Park … you have scenic views up & down Richmond RiverIf visiting Fawcett Park … you’ll interestingly discover* Plenty of grass space* Lance Ferris Wharf* Wharf Bar & Restaurant* Public BBQ & Picnic tables* Park Bench Seating* Shaded Children’s Playground* Park Artwork* Public ToiletsNearly every time I’ve visited Fawcett Park , the mostly fenced off children’s playground , was being well enjoyed by younger children - with family member/sFor car parking , there is timed street parking along side the parkMy photos are from over different visits to this beautiful riverside park

It’s a beautiful park with a stunning view of rebates, great for kids and parent who are looking to just have great day.If you sit there and watch the sun set it’s stunning perhaps the most stunning colours when the sun goes down, also if you are lucky enough you would get a glimpse of some dolphins going past catching fish.Plenty of cafes restaurants and parking around the area. If I had to move to Balina I would live there as there are few apartment blocks
