Really well set out zoo. Animals in their natural environments. You will get a map when you arrive and you can either cycle, drive or walk around or a combination of all of these. We were in a car and decided to drive to the well set out car parks along the way then see each exhibit in each car park. Nice walks and nice picnic facilities. Loved the meercats, tigers, lions and giraffes. Loved all of it really. Daughter who is 8 absolutely enjoyed the day. Buy tickets online. Cheaper.

Great experience and most animals were out and semi active. Third week of May and it was cold. As we purchased tickets in advance we had limited information on getting around the park - Walk, cycle (own bike or hire a bike) or drive (own car or hire a cart). We walked and we were a little bugged by the end. Next time I think we will cycle.Navigating via the phone app was a little painful as each time an icon on the screen gets touched it rotates from the view I preferred using. The basic paper map was easy enough though.Recommend the Savannah safari truck.Overall we enjoyed it.

A very unique set up for a zoo, isn't too big to walk around if you're an active person, cycling is a good alternative, during busy periods cart hire is the way to go.The safari tour is a great addition for only $10 extra, overall the enclosures are brilliant and the keeper talks are informative and staggered really well throughout the day.All round a great experience

The African zoo to see in Australia. Drive, bike or walk to the many different animal exhibits on offer. All tickets purchased give two days of access to the zoo and you'll need it. Walking shoes are a must. We loved every minute. Definitely will come again in the future.

Amazing zoo, lots of animals, can get pretty hot in the summer but easy to navigate around. They also offer bike option and golf cart. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and love to answer questions. There are a lot of talks and shows available so get a timetable before you start. Highly recommend to visit!

It was a great experience. We did the giraffe and hippo experience which were both awesome. Especially Nile the hippo beautiful girl! Zoo is nicely set out. We drove our car around. Lots of car parking at each exhibit.

Lovely zoo, very knowledgeable zookeepers and amazing conservation work going on. But the car situation keeps it from being a 5 for me.The design of the zoo is so that you can 'drive or walk around it', which basically means it's suited for neither. We chose to walk around, and you're constantly worrying if someone in a car is going to run over your child should they forget the zoo is an active roadway. I really wish it was closed to cars and just let people enjoy walking around. My favourite part is that the animals were on lower ground, which meant you could see many of them without a big fence in the way. That's a lovely design detail.Really pleasant cafe/play area where we could relax. And we did the early morning tour which was fantastic. We could have skipped the 'safari' experience. You're driving around in a bus on a track (not unlike the cars driving around the rest of the zoo!) and you got the feeling they put the cool animals in the enclosure just so they could charge people more to see them.We used both days of our two day pass because there's a lot to see. And it was fun.

Fantastic zoo as far a as zoo’s go, not really into animals in captivity but this zoo is massive and well maintained with large compounds.Fantastic for all ages, walk, drive or hire a bicycle as we did.Well worth a look if your in Dubbo or just want to see a great zoo.

We walked the 6km which took us roughly 3hrs just cruising around and enjoying the animals. Really enjoyed seeing the animals doing their thing. If you're not up for the walk, good idea to pre book a buggy.Highly recommend
