Wilks Park
Large grassed area, plenty of room to camp. Grass was overgrown, ducks were looking for some water to paddle in. This area needs to be cleaned daily toilet block. Rubbish was scattered on grass this looked so untidy. Man yelling out all the time. Thank you Wagga Wagga for providing this camp area for travellers, pot holes at front entrance should be fixed up.

Fabulous camping spot on the river with clean toilets. Close access to downtown Wagga. Free camping with shade and grass. A BBQ and tables and chairs top off this spot for the weary traveller. Not meant for tents and campers but for caravans and cameras only.

An official 72 hour free rest area in Wagga Wagga with a grassed, flat camping area for 30-40 vehicles and good facilities. Vehicles are required to be self contained.Access: the park is accessible from the main road into Wagga Wagga. The access road into the park is dirt/gravel and is slightly pot-holed but is an easy drive taken slowly.Facilities: a simple grassed rest area with a toilet block (no showers), potable water and dump point, bins and a covered seating area with BBQ. There is both natural and man-made shade areas.Ambiance: despite being close to the main road, noise is not intrusive even at night. The rest area itself is partly shaded and grassed and is a good size.Wilks Park is an excellent camping location for accessing the wide range of shops and services available in Wagga Wagga.

Plenty of space, very hot, very dry, toilets, seating area, seems like a few are permanent dwellers ( not that it was an issue) everyone was well behaved, there were lots of campers when we were there. You can walk across the bridge and into town.

Lovely camping spot within walking distance to shopping centres. Has sunny and shaded spots, was a little damp underfoot but there had been a lot of rain the week previous. There is a bicycle way through the park which is good for the little one's riding their bikes. Toilets, rubbish bins and dump point there as well.

Great overnight stop. Clean toilets, no showers though. Very close to cbd. A big area to house large rigs.

Very Nice place to stay overnight or for 2 days. Within walking distance to the shops. Has toilets and dump area for caravans and motorhomes. Can go fishing by the lake. Easy location to get to. We had a good experience would recommend staying there if your in the area.

Disappointed, know it is unlucky for the the dear people with floods etc, but difficult to appreciate this park with so much riffraff, behind toilets, yelling, screaming, rubbish left everywhere! So council plz try to clean this up & yes rubbish is also responsibility of people but this was sad to see this quite lovely place & didn't feel safe @ all, we are self contained, a lot of tents, that were & seemed run down! People plz pick up your rubbish there are so many bins @ this park, no excuses!

Big area to stay in this time of year. Could see in warmer weather becoming CRAMPING... (Not camping or glamping...) Well maintained toilets no showers) only thing that could put you off is one what we thought was a recycle bin was a huge syringe bin.. 4 camps of homeless..Yet were not a problem at all... Not sure if it's different at other times as it rained last night 16/9/19...roads need to be graded badly.. Massive holes...walking distance to coffee shops and bit further all shopping.. Great walking area and Over bridge great walking track along river... Is beside main road to Nth Wagga but wasn't that noisy...
